Love, exercise, and all home comforts for your dog as part of our family ❤️ 🐶 🏡
Come and meet us! We understand you need PEACE OF
MIND and the very best for your family dog. As such, we deliver an affordable yet personal service tailored for you and your dog. We are local to you so we can easily meet up BEFORE any stay and love to keep in touch while you are away. We are great at photos, videos

and messages! If you are looking for someone to love, exercise and give individual attention to your dog, just like you do, then you have come to the right place! We do not believe in pack walks or filling our home with multiple dogs from different families. This often stresses dogs out or even creates conflict. Instead we devote ALL our time 24/7 to your dog ONLY. If you have 2 dogs of course they stay together (we’d never separate them!) but no other strange dogs are accepted. One-to-one care, love, cuddles and attention come free with your dogs stay! Complete peace of mind leaving your dog with us is our priority. LOVE - CARE -SAFETY

🐕We shared a post recently about a proposed new code of practice for getting a dog in Scotland. This will involve filling out a form to show that both parties have thought carefully considered what buying and selling a dog means.

🐕It is true there should be careful consideration when it comes to getting a dog and we've got an article that covers this.

🐕However, this 'test' is only between the seller and the buyer. It is only meant to serve to draw attention to the responsibilities of dog owning. But does it go far enough❓

Are You REALLY Prepared to Get a Dog!?   One of the top reasons for people re-homing their pet is because they didn’t realise the commitment involved in caring for a dog. There’s no doubt, dog owning is a wonderful thing and there are so many benefits to sharing your life with a four-legged fri...

⚡️Research has shown that shock collars have a detrimental physical and mental effect when used in dog training. In addition, they are wide open for abuse and can cause training and behaviour problems.

⚡️We hope these devices will soon be banned, as they are in Wales, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Quebec, New South Wales and South Australia.

⚡️Shock collars are typically used to stop livestock chasing. However, there is a much more humane device. It's called a lead.

⚡️Please do not use a shock collar on your dog, or allow any trainer to persuade you to do so. Use positive motivational methods, which are scientifically proven to be effective and do not have any impact on the dog's welfare.

We’re concerned that the use of electric shock collars to punish or control dogs or cats is open to abuse and can cause welfare and training problems.

Whoops. Embarrassing. 😜

🐕Does your have a job, or enjoy engaging activities?

🐕Does your dog have a particularly special skill? Do let us know in the comments 👇😀

Do Dogs Need Jobs?   In years gone by, dogs were frequently regarded as tools of a trade – often ’employed’ as herding, or guard dogs. In modern times, many more dogs are kept as companions, sharing our homes and living alongside us. But, do dogs need jobs? Holidays4dogs delves into this inte...

Do you have a small dog? Do find you have to pick them up often?

Should You Pick Small Dogs Up?   It is natural for owners of small dogs to pick them, especially if they see larger dogs approaching. But, is it the best idea? In this Holidays4Dogs article we ask the question – should you pick small dogs up and if not, what are the alternatives? There are […]

This is an heartbreaking 💔 post and one we need our followers help with to get out there, one to raise awareness and two for any information that anyone may

On the 25/01/2025 a teenage girl was out riding her horse (Loki) with her cousin in Loft House West Yorkshire, on Lingwell Nook Lane on the old pit stack.

While on the pit stack there was a male in his 50-60, bold head, glasses on and wearing a blue rain coat with black joggers on. He had a chocolate coloured spaniel dog with him that was off the leash and out of control, the young girls asked him to put the dog on the lead while they passed but the man told the young girls “ f**k off this is public land” as the dog was running out of control around the horses Loki spooked and started to buck, rear and kick. The teenage girl was thrown from Loki’s back just before he bolted to try and escape the dog. Loki ended up running out onto Leeds Road where he was hit by a car and suffered catastrophic injuries to his legs, his injuries were truly horrendous and all 4 legs were shattered. Loki fought to get up off the road but of course due to his four broken legs he couldn’t and sadly he had to be put to sleep in the road.
The gentleman that hit Loki is absolutely devastated and his car a total write off.
The incident happened just before 4:30pm .

If anyone has any information on who this dog walker is can you please PM the page or ring West Yorkshire police.

This post is also to make people aware of the disastrous consequences for not putting your dogs on leashes around horses.

We are fully supporting Loki’s family during this devastating time.

Have you ever been in an embarrassing situation to do with this ⁉️😁☺️

While it may be a little embarrassing when your dog sniffs another dog’s nether regions ( or worse still, human visitors to the house!😂) – rest assured, its perfectly natural -(albeit awkward for us😚).

If you’re interested to know why dogs sniff other dog’s bums – read our Holidays4Dogs article to find out more.👇

🐕Many more educational organisations in the UK are integrating school therapy dogs into their settings.

🐕There is no doubt, this can bring many benefits for children and young people.

🐕However, the Dogs Trust are concerned that sometimes the welfare of the dog is less of a priority.

🐕School support dogs must be carefully selected and trained to a high level. Risk assessments, insurance and the care and welfare of the dog are all important considerations.

🐕If you are an educational provider, or parent with an interest in this area and thinking how a school support dog may help, read our article which will explain more. It also provides resources and organisations to contact for further advice and support.
