It’s been a bit quiet on here…For those that don’t know yet… WE HAVE MOVED! Not too far and only to Dunsfold! Very lovely new yard and can now offer absolutely top class trial facilities, beautiful onsite hacking and xc fences. We will be hiring out our super new arena detail’s below;

Arena hire in Dunsfold-
60 x 45 Martin Collins surface. Regularly maintained.
£40 per hour, for up to 4 horses
Good access and lorry / trailer parking
All breakages must be paid for.
Poo to be picked up immediately.
Set of professional training fences, or jumps can be moved out by arrangement , suitable for polo practice, stick and balling etc as has high covered sides.
Please message for more information or to book. Open 7 days a week.
Group PC / RC bookings welcome.

We will also be running some clinics with local instructors soon! Keep your eyes peeled on here for dates!

Fun out with the KSB yesterday. Even if we did all swap as I took an early tumble after a miscommunication over which spot of a hedge to jump. SALLY 15.1hh Irish MW mare 5 yrs. This girl would suit any rider! She’s very quiet, gives no one anxiety and is a good egg. Never going to set the world on fire and not so much a fan of dressage but jumps a small course and is rock steady out hacking. Combined with the sweetest temperament she will be a fabulous pet!

Very sadly JAMES has come back to us to find a home! He is perfect 99% of the time but if he’s excited will throw in a very cheeky buck. If you sit it and remove his back teeth he won’t try it again but when rider is changed and he’s excited he will ( James works on a mutual respect basis and definitely knows who’s on top!) He loves his hunting. Jumps everything, stands like a rock at meets. Probably best suited to a teenager or younger rider who will think he’s quite hilarious.

Yesterday I took my homebred brat out for a day for the C&H opening meet. I thought it was do or die and we did not die. Had a lot of fun and got to pull some faces in photos to rival Leo! Not sure where to go next in my great season of hunt visiting, so any suggestions welcome of good meets coming up.

Every now and then I get dragged out of retirement to jump. This morning at Felbridge Belle and I tacked the great heights of the 70 cm clear round. No one died, all my limbs are intact and now I can have another coffee. Sh*t’s getting serious.

Yesterday new face RAMBO had his make over. He’s a 16.2hh Irish cob gelding. The best temperament you could wish to find! Everyone here has fallen in love all ready. I’ll do some reveal photos of his glow up later.

FLICKA and new recruit RAMBO messing about in the woods today with Evie and Leo. This is the sort of thing our horses put up with on a daily basis! 😂

Headwear is the must have accessory of the season!

The foundation of any ridden relationship with your horse is good ground work. I’m not proud of myself to say that with my homebred Diego, I have allowed him to train me and created a monster. Yesterday we had a training session with David Sally Catchpole as I’ve decided it’s time for the spoilt brat to actually toe the line a bit more! One of D’s habits is not standing by the mounting block and generally being a dick so David worked on getting him to stand quietly. I’ve got lots to practice but hopefully if we can get this chaps brain engaged properly he will be a super horse. . I’m looking forward to working and learning with David in the coming weeks. Who knows I might even manage to teach the brat some tricks!

Soggy morning at Coombelands with a couple. FENDI jumped a super double clear in the British Novice for a respectable 8th. She’s really coming together now and we are excited to keep going with her.
