The art of doing nothing. For a working bred, high energy dog it is comparatively easy to teach them to ‘do something’. However many handlers forget to teach them ‘to do nothing’. Practice is key! Literally put them in a sit or down and leave them. Get on with daily life. When mine are young they are crated with the older dogs next to them. All I want is for them to switch off. There is no particular routine so they do not preemptively assume anything. Basically chill until I say otherwise!! Makes for a much easier life for all ❤️🐶

It is now official!! FtCh Swiftlands Briar. Bred, owned and handled by Mrs E Nunneley

This has been a lifelong ambition to breed and train my own line and make a dog up to Field Trial Champion status. Unless you are in this world, no one can appreciate the time, money and constant battles these handlers deal with. So proud of my little B dog ❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️😍

Due to hot weather please note TIME CHANGES:

Wednesday 13th Aug
11am - Novice Gundog Group will shift to 9am
11am - Young Gundog Class shift to 9am

Thurs 14th Aug
12.30 Focus group shift to 9am
10am spaniel group as normal

Friday 15th Aug
10am Focus group shift to 9am
12 midday Passive Neutrality Group - CANCELLED

All private lessons I believe we have contacted you all to reschedule/change times but please drop us a mail if you are unsure or not heard from us

PUPPY & YOUNGSTER CLASSES - upcoming

6 week PUPPY CLASS - starts Tuesday 12th August at 10am £90 ***fully booked*** next class will start on Tuesday Sept 23rd

6 week PUPPY PROGRESS CLASS - starts Wednesday 20th August at 9am for pups who have completed a puppy course and are approximately 5 months upwards - this will bridge the gap between the puppy class and Ellena's Young Gundog class

The puppy progress class is £90 for 6 sessions and can be booked via the website bookings page now - scroll to Puppy Progress Class, click on 20 Aug on calendar and this will take you to payment:

YOUNG GUNDOG Class with Ellena - £20 per session

We have a new class starting mid August for young retrievers aimed at competition and/or the shoot field. The class will be run by Ellena and will be on the same day every week - £20 per session.
