Christmas deliveries. Will you need your dog food delivered before Christmas holiday's ?? The team at 4Tails will be processing orders and delivering up to Friday 22nd however to help with planning it would be greatly appreciated if all orders are received as early as possible. 4Tails will be closed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and thereafter deliveries will resume when required.

Unfortunately Comber Farmers' Market tomorrow is cancelled due to the weather warning but don't forget about the twilight market on 21st December

We have been advised to cancel Comber Farmers' Market tomorrow Thurs 7th December due to the yellow weather warning..

Jennifer, from Forthill Farm Shop Forthill Farm said she will be in St Marys Carpark from 8.30am to fulfill orders. Something Fishy N.I Ltd will also be there.

Hopefully, the next December Twilight Market on Thurs 21st, 4.00 - 8.00pm will have better weather.

Due to the uncertainty of weather conditions for this Thursday 2 November, CFM Committee have taken the decision to cancel this month's Comber Farmers' Market.

We look forward to seeing our fantastic traders, wonderful customers and the fabulous St Mary's Tea Ladies on Thurs 7 December.

Post for information. I have spoken to a few customers recently who have been concerned about the size and or growth of their pup or young dog. My advice is to ignore the size or average weight for the breed and instead consider the size of your dog as an individual and within it's own frame size. Every dog is different and whilst most may grow to an average size there are always differences. In my opinion as long as you feed a quality diet and your dog has some coverage over it's spine and ribs, is healthy with plenty of energy and growing up to ten months old then it is likely to be fine. To give further evidence of this the two attached photo's are of two different pups that I currently have at home. Both of these pups will be 13 weeks old tomorrow and are litter sisters but are as different in size as day and night. Hope that makes sense.

It's definitely "Pick your own" with this lot as they ain't for sharing !!!!

Is your dog’s coat looking a little dry? Quite often this will be down to a poor quality diet not containing a decent level of oils however at this time of year it can also simply be shedding a winter coat. This will be seen especially on dogs that are kennelled outside and not benefitting from internal central heating therefore noticing the change in temperature. Just have a look at this brief video clip and the amount of hair being removed from a Labrador with a few short strokes of a Furminator de-shedding tool. My deliveries are free however for dog brushing I would need to charge!!!! #happydog #doggrooming #furminator

4 Tails for Feeding, Walking, Training

Welcome to my business page 4Tails. I have worked in the petfood industry for 23 years (since 1995) and been involved with dogs as a hobby and keeping as pets for 30 years to date. After my most recent redundancy from employment it therefore seemed like the right time to combine my knowledge of both and start out on my own creating a range of dog foods and also putting to good use my time by exercising and training dogs for other people. It was therefore that I settled on a business name of 4 Tails which can be taken as “For Tails” but also named relevant as I have four English Springer spaniels of my own in the cover photo, Bramble, Fern, Pip and Tina. The 4 Tails name then encompasses the three sectors of the business “4 Tails Feeding”, “4 Tails Walking” and “4 Tails Training”.

Working closely with nutritionist’s and my manufacturer in the UK I have selected a range of foods to suit all budgets including a top quality completely natural hypoallergenic grain free product without the price tag of the major brands. My team (Pip, Bramble, Fern and Tina) at 4tails have happily spent the past few months sampling the full product range with impressive results on both palatability and digestibility. Whether your pet is a fussy eater, has a sensitive digestion or simply just enjoys their dinner I should have a food to suit.
