Years ago one of my cats Banabirala Hugo Boss was sold as a breeding cat for newbie cattery. Now years later I received news that he appear as a grandfather in pedigrees of kittens showing signs of HCM :( Both Hugo Boss parents was screened. After investigating this, cattery that bought him no longer exist, but females they used or cats that was used for breeding with Hugos babies wasn't screened for HCM. Everyone that have this line in their cats pedigree - please, please screen your cats before attempting breeding!!! Not only mine reputation that I built for years here is on line as well as many other breeders that used cats from this line the most important health and lives of kittens is here on line. I know I'm not to blame here, since my cats are screened but I feel responsible to warn everyone that might have this line in breeding lines. I'm not publishing name of female that is probably root of the problem to not shame any breeder without proof, that's not my intention. Please remember to screen your cats. With this unfortunately I need to make announcement that under no circumstances Banabirala cattery will no longer sell breeding kittens for new catteries. Unless you are owner of established cattery with history of HCM and genetic screening please don't contact regardless kittens for breeding. I'm no longer willing to take that risk of putting my reputation and lives of future kittens in danger, becouse no matter how much mentoring, and support I'm willing to provide, I was proven that people unfortunately just don't listen. :(
