WE HAVE AROUND 60 CATS AND KITTENS WAITING TO COME INTO OUR CARE!
RSPCA Ceredigion is an entirely VOLUNTEER run RSPCA branch and we never put a healthy animal down. We primarily care for cats/kittens (we don't have any bording facilities for other animals including dogs, but we do help direct owners to rescues elsewhere). We currently have around 60 cats, including around 30 kittens, waiting to come into our care, but our catteries are full.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
1. GIVE YOUR LOVE: We are seeking new FOSTER CARERS (see below)
2. SHARE YOUR LIFE and ADOPT one of our cats/kittens which will free up a place in a foster home or cattery! All our cats/kittens are microchipped, vaccinated and neutered. See the posts on this page or speak to Jane on 07831 269183.
2. GIVE A DONATION to our branch via our crowdfunder page below to help us cover the costs of caring for the large number of cats and kittens in our care (our main costs are vet costs, including neutering, vaccinations, microchips and medications including flea and worm treatment, and food/cat litter)
3. GIVE YOUR TIME and get involved in helping us to run our branch: fundraising, admin such as taking minutes at meetings, arranging neutering of stray cats etc, we always need more volunteers!

HOW TO BECOME A FOSTER CARER?
Foster carers welcome one or more cats or kittens into their home until they are ready to be rehomed. Usually, this involves taking them to the vets for neutering/microchpping (we pay the vets) and socialising them in your home. We pay for all their feed and cat litter. We don't rehome kittens until they have been neutered, so they are likely to be with you for several months until they are old enough to have this operation. Older cats may have had a bad experience of humans and need time, care and love to put them in a position to be rehomed.
You MUST be able to keep the foster cat or kitten INDOORS at all times. This is to prevent them running away from an unfamiliar environment and to prevent pregnancies before they have been neutered.
Existing pets or children do not prevent you from becoming a foster carer and each foster carer is decided on a case by case basis, but do have a good think about whether your particular circumstances work with an indoor foster cat or kitten.
Call Jane on 07831 269183 and leave a message, she will get back to you.
Here in Ceredigion, we run a help line for animal welfare and we rehome cats. We’re part of the family of RSPCA charities within Wales and beyond.
