Yappies Dog Grooming and Agility Training Yappies Grooming is now in Barnham, Agility/Hoopers is in West Row.

Yappies will be closing in Beck Row on 28th February. Donna will be opening a new shop in Barnham nr Thetford. I shall be retiring but will continue to teach Canine Hoopers and Agility. I shall be starting a puppy hoopers at the beginning of April, this will include socialisation and basic puppy skills alongside an introduction to hoopers. I also have spaces for all ages of dogs in other classes. Please call me on 07951269287 or message me for more information.

Some tips on grooming your dogs at home,for all those people that have long haired dogs. Try and comb the coat right through on a regular basis. Most of the matting will occur at the roots. Use a hairdryer to blow the coat apart, it will help you see where the knots are. On no account wash a matted dog as the coat will become even more matted. Try and trim as much hair off the dog as possible if the weather turns hot. Be very careful when getting knots out behind the ear as it is very easy to cut their ears. Check between the pads as it is uncomfortable for dogs to walk when they have matting. Try and trim the nails if they get too long but remember not to get too close to the quicks as they will bleed, also check their ears on a regular basis and wipe out with damp cotton wool.
