Poor Piglet hasn't had a lot of luck lately...

Piglet was brought to us as he and his brother weren't getting along. He soon found a home with a lovely female guinea pig friend, but sadly she passed away. 💔

Now, Piglet is feeling quite lonely and is hoping that third time's the charm. 🤞

This sweet boy would love a home with a girl guinea pig to bond with. Piglet absolutely loves fresh veggies and will come take them out of your hands!

A kind local had been feeding a stray cat in their garden for weeks, until one day, they got a surprise when she wandered inside and gave birth to three kittens! 💙

Seeking a safe place, this clever mum, now named North, clearly knew who to trust.

The finder brought North and her kittens into our care, where we treated them for fleas to prevent flea anaemia, which can be fatal.

Thanks to this stranger's kindness and our wonderful Suffolk team, this little family has now found loving homes.

As the nights draw in and temperatures drop, these colder months mark a race against time to save pets’ lives. ❄️

Across the UK, more homeless pets are arriving at our doors, with too many pets being abandoned or given up out of sheer desperation. 💔

Many arrive starving, injured, or too weak to survive the harsh winter nights alone, and their first night in our care is often critical.

In the lead up to Christmas, we’ll be sharing stories of pets who, thanks to your support, are now safe, healthy, and loved in their new homes.

This Remembrance Sunday, we're remembering the men, women and animals of war. ❤️

This beautifully moving painting is called 'Goodbye Old Man' and shows a British soldier saying farewell to his dying horse.

Painted by artist Fortunino Matania, it was commissioned by The Blue Cross Fund in 1916 to raise money to help relieve the suffering of horses on active service in Europe.

Over one million horses saw service with the British Army during World War and we treated thousands.

Scout is a friendly girl who charms everyone she meets. She loves a relaxed walk and using her nose to sniff out treats.

Although Scout loves people, she's not looking to live with another dog. Her dream home is a calm and chilled one, without other dogs.

Fireworks Found Near Our Horses in Rolleston 💔

Yesterday, our Rolleston team discovered over 20 fireworks scattered across the field where our horses are kept.

We’re deeply relieved that no serious injuries occurred, but this incident could have had devastating consequences for our horses’ safety and wellbeing.

Fireworks and loud noises can cause severe fear, distress, and even injury to horses and other animals.

We’re asking everyone to please think twice before buying or setting off fireworks.

JH has been unable to work the past two years due to limiting physical conditions. Once the bills are paid, there is little left to feed himself and Kenzo. He quite often feeds Kenzo any available human food, before feeding himself.

Without the pet food bank at Community Food Initiative North East, he said he would not manage and is very grateful for everything he gets to help him feed his dog.

Nobody should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pet. That’s why we provide pet food to owners across the country, so we can help more pets and people, like JH and Kenzo. 💙

After nearly 45k page visits, over 1,500 adoption applications, and £4,782.14 in donations, Hope and Chance have finally found their perfect homes - all thanks to you. 💙

These two tiny puppies were discovered abandoned in a cardboard box after being attacked by another animal and then heartbreakingly deemed “unsellable.”

Hope and Chance didn't give up thanks to the round-the-clock care from our incredible team at our Thirsk rehoming centre.

They were met with an outpouring of love from our amazing community. A beautiful reminder that every dog deserves love.

Thank you to everyone who applied to adopt, donated to support our work, or shared their story.

Because of you, Hope and Chance now have the second chance they always deserved.
