It feels like the start of the next chapter for homebred Floss (Comilfo Plus Z), her first show and a double clear in the British Novice 🥉
She’s the second foal out of Candy, and I’m hoping the baton has been passed on 💕
I wasn’t too demanding when I had a go at the breeding job - the ideal was a little filly with a bit of bling.
I say this tongue in cheek as obviously all I wanted was a healthy foal and mare each time, that was a given and came with its own stresses and endless worry! And each homebred is like nothing else regardless 💕
But the first homebred landed a plain bay colt, second foal 2 seasons later and different broodmare was a plain bay filly, so getting closer, finally the third landed a bay filly with some white!! But didn’t she make us work to get her too! Following Cookie (Candys first foal) , it took 6 attempts , 3 different stallions, across 2 breeding seasons to finally get her back in foal…
And here she is, and all worth it! She’s a bit on the back foot with 2 kiddies myself since she was born, but to finally get her in the ring is just magic ✨
