Apparently it ‘Penguin Awareness Day’ today.

I had a penguin once. I was ever so looking forward to it.

But a note on the packet carried a warning ‘do not eat if seal is broken’.

And my pet seal was looking broken, ever so sad and missing the ocean.

So I gave him a cuddle, he flashed back a smile as we both shared a penguin and a nice cup of tea.

Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ). All bird keepers must implement strict biosecurity measures to help protect their flocks, regardless of whatever type or size. So this applies to pet poultry owners and business alike. In addition Regional housing requirements are in place across Norfolk, Suffolk & parts of Essex.

One of the requirements is for "All owners must disinfect & cleanse clothing, footwear, equipment and vehicles before and and after contact with poultry. Can not believe I’ve had to put up with this fluffy beast for four whole years already. He is soo naughty, he leaps out from behind things, sits on things and swipes me when I go past. He try’s to snuggle next to me, I’m not having that. We do play together and he’s not too bad really for a cat!
