HAYFIELD TROOPING THE COLOUR is one of my home-bred fourth generation Drum Horses, standing at 17 hands. He has some 50+ good quality stock to date. Please see photos within this page. He is a BSPA (British Skewbald and Piebald Association) Licenced stallion, for which he passed the compulsory veterinary examination, as well as the movement and temperament tests in front of a panel of BSPA Assesso
rs. He is also registered with CHAPS UK (The Coloured Horse and Pony Society), and also with the IDHA (International Drum Horse Association, based in the USA - see their website for his listing). Trooper has profuse feather, mane and tail hair. Even though he is a big boy, and is heavy in bone, he has an elegant head and a floating action. His CHAPS UK and BSPA highest level Youngstock Evaluations described his movement as "light and active". He also has a massive loose jump over coloured poles - see photos on this page. Trooper has had many National Championship and National Finals wins with both BSPA and CHAPS UK. Some of his many achievements include:
2007 World Championships of Colour
- Champion Cold Blood Horse of 2007
- 1st & Best Yearling Large Vanner/Heavyweight/Draught exceeding 153cm, In-hand Championship;
2008 CHAPS UK National Championships

For those prospective clients who are new to dealing with stud services, please discuss your queries with your preferred Approved / Qualified equine stud vet, and / or with my storage facility below. Trooper's stud fee for 2017 is £420 + costs (shipment, documentation, etc). All purchases of semen are to be paid for in full to me before I will transfer ownership of one dose of frozen semen to the purchaser. Overseas clients will pay in full for the semen at the monetary exchange rate applicable on the day of their payment. Clients need to refer to an appropriate website to ascertain information about the monetary conversion rate. I have the frozen semen in storage at STALLION AI SERVICES / CRYOGENETICS LTD in Shropshire, England. Their website is at www.stallionai.co.uk. Their email is: [email protected]. This facility is a top UK Equine Semen Collection, Insemination, Storage and Distribution Centre. When carrying out their research about shipment of the semen, prospective clients need to contact Stallion AI Services direct to discuss the logistics and costs, as all of that process is entirely out of my control. Stallion AI Services will ship frozen semen to approved Equine AI Vets only, lists of whom they will discuss with my potential clients, as they ship to all parts of the world. Once the client has decided to proceed with semen purchase from me, and when the stud fee of £420 from them has been guaranteed to me by my bank as having been cleared into my account, the client instantly takes ownership of, and responsibility for, their dose of frozen semen that they have purchased in storage. I strongly advise that they take out insurance to cover the semen. At this point, I take no further responsibility for the semen and / or how it is used. I give no guarantees concerning the semen, and will provide no refunds. The dose that I sell to the client is for use on their one and only previously-named mare, and no other mare. The mare must be owned by the person making the purchase of semen. All of this, the client will agree to by means of an email to me prior to payment in full to me. The overseas shipment release timing can take a month or more, due to export documentation having to be approved, etc. Prospective clients will need to discuss this directly with Stallion AI Services, by phone or email. It is solely the client's responsibility to ensure that all preparatory and ongoing examinations of their mare's reproductive suitability, and all further tests, examinations, certifications, health checks, scans, drug regimes, etc are carried out in conjunction with their veterinary surgeon. The end of my UK stud season for 2017 is the 1st of October 2017. Overseas Clients: please message me for my stud season dates for your country. My UK NFFR (No foal, One free return dose of semen) offer for 2017 must be taken up in good time such that a successful pregnancy is confirmed to me by means of a heartbeat scan certificate by 1st October 2017. Overseas clients, please message me for the info on my NFFR terms. I will not 'carry over' this offer into 2018. I hope that this information is helpful. Please PM me on my private page at SUE CLUER on Facebook, or my email account at [email protected], to enquire about, or to make, a purchase.
