Who said Diamond the welsh pony will never slide like a quarter horse!? Freestyle reining as the Native Indian painted pony. Our first time doing a proper sliding stop!! Scoring our highest mark so far of 67 coming 2nd! Massive thanks to Jon Warren Performance Horses for teaching Diamond how to slide. Absolutely loving the training. What an awesome WES Nationals, Diamond owned by Laura Cohen won the “Novice horse non pro reined cow” after winning at the sizzler, to win again is amazing! We’ve both trained so hard 6 days a week to get better! We did our best ever run in both reining & down the fence. So proud of how far Diamond and I have come this year. Considering she’s the only Welsh pony against all the quarter horses. Riding with the best has certainly made me train harder to become a better rider! She’s one awesome pony! Thanks to all my friends who have supported me at the show, it means a lot to me! Love the cow horse team!
