Starting off small in 2008 with three members of staff, to now having five; one Kennel and Cattery Manager, two Kennel and Cattery Assistants and two Dog Groomers. There are a total of 48 suites and all suites are Tolvi manufactured. In all kennels there are automatic water bowls and dogs are fed twice daily. The building is fitted with Altro flooring, the kennels have underfloor heating, and a l

arge area in the front of their kennel where they can see other dogs and express normal behaviour. You can choose from our 14 singles kennels, 24 double kennels and 10 luxury double kennels - The luxury suites have televisions for the dogs entertainment. We also have an onsite grooming salon with state of the art equipment and trained groomers. The salon is open for Dogs, all breeds and sizes welcome, even non-kennel users. Dogs are provided with Kuranda Aluminium frame beds, vet beds and are allowed to bring a blanket from home. We play classical music to help the dogs relax as well as using DAP Diffusers to assist your dog to feel at ease during their stay. We have a hygienic waste disposal facility, indoor exercise area and secure, commercial grade artificial grass outdoor exercise areas. The building is soundproof, has lots of natural airflow/daylight, and is fitted with an air filtration system which takes out bacteria. We have temporary shade outside to help keep the dogs cool, on those hot summers days. Enrichment is important to us; we have lots of toys including Tennis balls, Footballs, a Ball Machine, Tunnels, Puzzles, Weaver Poles, Flirt Poles and Frozzys for hot days. Our employees are trained in, health & safety and fire safety. We also have CCTV audio recording surrounding the establishment, in our daycare room and grooming rooms. All main outside exits have double door systems to ensure extra safety. We have a detailed website, with an online booking system for customers and in 2019 we were awarded with ‘Highly commended’ for customer service. In 2020 we won ‘Supplier of the year’ with PetQuip, and ‘Kennel of the year’ award with PIF. We are committed providing your pet with the highest quality of care in order to make their holiday as enjoyable as yours. CATS:

We have two Catteries with 21 Cattery pens, 10 of which can house up to 3 cats comfortably. Each cattery pen is fitted with a heat detective system. Both catteries have Solar Guard roofing panels, which lets the light in but reflects the heat to help keep it cool and the front of the catteries open up completely, so air can flow through the building. We enlarged the corridors, adding a mini fridge and shelving space so we could stack the cat boxes neatly. Each cat box has a personalised cat tag from us with their name on. All Cat pens have water bowls which get emptied and measured out daily so we know how much cats are drinking, they’re fed twice daily, and all pens have variety of toys, including robotic toys for the more playful ones! Our catteries are fitted with a thermostat heater, recycled plastic ramps, scratching posts, hammock beds, toys, cat grass, vet beds and are allowed to bring their own items. All pens also have Altro flooring and a large area in the front of their cattery where they can express normal behaviour; climb, scratch, play and sleep. In 2019 we were awarded with ‘Highly commended’ for customer service.

We are unable to administer the medication/supplements needed without a signed consent form.
Please fill out one form per medication/supplement.

Please bring enough supplies for the stay and allow an additional 4 days in case of travel delays.
Please also provide treats/food to put medication/supplements in if necessary.

‼️ Please note the form is 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙙 from your check-in date to your check-out date. We cannot reuse old consent forms from previous stays. ‼️

If unable to do so, please allow 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙧𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 on the day to fill them out in reception or you can collect them during our opening hours before your pets stay.

☀️ With hot weather on the cards, it's important for us at Four Paws to take extra precautions to keep your dogs safe and cool 🐾

✨️We have the best quality, highest grade on the market available, artificial grass, that doesn't get hot in the sun ⛳️

✨️Upgraded new shades cover as much outside area as possible to shelter dogs from direct sunlight ⛱️

✨️As well as introducing our new misting fans, that are specifically designed to cool large outside areas 💧

✨️Pluss we have multiple indoor fans, to keep the building nice and cool 🌬

✨️Freshly prepared 𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 enrichment items that are suitable for freezing - for refreshing lunchtime snacks 🧊

✨️Constant supply of fresh clean water 💧

‼️ However we do still suggest owners to bring in cooling mats or vests, to help your furry frieds get through the hot weather easier.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I keep seeing lots of posts about artificial grass and how it can reach extreme temperatures in the sun causing damage to dogs pads.

Although this might be true for some cheaper brands and lower grades of artificial grass, I want to assure you that our artificial grass is very good quality and is one of the highest grades on the market which does not get hot in the sun.

We’ve had it since 2016, take good care of it and believe it is the most hygienic for our facility.

We also know how important it is to keep your dogs cool during the summer, and that’s why we have installed extra shade 😎

Good Afternoon Everyone,

As most of you already know, we have separate hours for Cat/Dog boarding and doggy daycare.

We are strict with these hours, due to the importance of safety, routine and our trading standards.

However, understandably, we still get asked every day to collect/drop off boarding animals in our daycare hours.
So I've listed a few other reasons below why this isn't possible:

Daycare is a 'drop & go' service, which doesn't require forms, signatures or payment every time they get dropped off/collected.

Not all members of the team are trained to check in/out boarding animals.

We have set routines which not only help the pets but also keep things running more smoothly.

Boarding collections/drop offs takes more time due to preparing all the items the pet has brought to take down to the office, talking to the owner, taking payments, removing pet names from everywhere to not confuse the night feeding staff, updating Petlinx, and sorting the paperwork out once the pet has gone as we have no admin staff in the office after 4pm.

The staff who stay for daycare hours get ready by exercising the dogs in our care, feeding, enrichment to all pets, medication to those who need it, cleaning duties etc, before they head home at 5:30pm - There is a lot to get done in this small window of time.

It would be too risky/stressful to drop off/collect cats, rabbits, birds etc in our doggy daycare hours, as there is a queue of dogs waiting to be dropped off/collected - We don't want any animal to start their staycation stressed out.

We are not trying to be difficult but if we accept one person's request to collect before/after boarding hours, it not only takes time away from everything else that needs to be done during that time, but is unfair to those who have also asked. We would end up having everyone who is due to board for that day coming at the same time and we wouldn't get anything done!

A friend, family member or a dog walker of your choice can collect your pets on your behalf within our opening hours as long as you let us know who and payment is made prior.

After trading for 16 years, and the volume of pets expanding considerably we have learnt that this is the best way for the business to run smoothly and for all the pets to be happy.

Our Story

The dog suites are Tolvi manufactured each having a separate sleeping area and a large run pen. They have Altro flooring with under floor central heating to enable us to maintain a minimum temperature throughout the year. There are a total of 48 suites; of these we have 14 singles, 24 standard doubles and 10 luxury doubles. The luxury suites have televisions for the dogs entertainment and webcams for you to stay in touch with your pet while youre away. We provide Vet Beds in all of the suites for the dogs comfort. We will be playing classical music throughout the building as recommended to calm the pets, as well as using DAP Diffusers to assist your dog to feel at ease during their stay. We have a hygienic waste disposal facility, indoor exercise area and secure sanded outdoor exercise areas. We also have footbaths to wash the animals feet before re-entering the kennels, in order to maintain our hygiene standards. Our new cattery is fully heated with each cat having its own indoor and outdoor covered area. We have a new grooming salon on site with state of the art equipment and a City & Guild trained groomer. The salon is open for non kennel users. All breeds and sizes welcome. We also have a collection and delivery service for pets. All the staff members are trained in animal handling and health management and we are committed providing your pet with the highest quality of care in order to make their holiday as enjoyable as yours.
