This little pup visited one of our vets this week, he is just over 3 months old and was very well behaved. He enjoyed cuddles with all the team. See you soon Maximillion 🥰

🐾🐾 MEET YOSHI 🐾🐾
This little cutie is Yoshi who visited us recently for a grass seed in his paw. He needed a sedation to remove the seed. We are seeing lots of these cases at the moment. Please check your dogs paws after they have been on a walk for grass seeds. Once they enter through the skin they can cause swelling, redness and pain and need veterinary treatment. Get well soon little Yoshi 🥰

Poppet visited us recently for her vaccination. We couldn't resist puppy cuddles. She was very happy to be here and enjoyed her treats from our lovely reception team 🥰

🐾🐾Meet Bert! 🐾🐾 He was a rascal recently and managed to eat some corn on the cob which got stuck in his stomach. This made him really sick, and he needed surgery.
This is him at his post operation check and we are pleased to say he has recovered well 🥰

☀☀☀Heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous.
If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a cool area and offered plenty of water to drink.☀☀☀

Some pets love visiting the vets but some of our patients can be more anxious, and as owners we know you can also feel worried about an upcoming vet visit. Our nursing teams have a wealth of knowledge and experience in making sure your pet feels safe and calm, we understand their behaviour and body language and can adapt our approach and handling to ensure it is as stress free as possible.
If your pet is particularly stressed at vet visits speak to a member of the team ahead of your appointment so we can best support you both.

☀☀As we enjoy the sunshine and hot weather of summer, it’s worth keeping in mind that our pets can be susceptible heatstroke when they get too hot. This can be extremely dangerous for our dogs and cats as they do not sweat like we do ☀☀

🐾 🐾 NEW LEGISLATION 🐾🐾
Cat microchipping legislation in England coming in on 10 June 2024, if you have a new kitten, you may be wondering when you would need to get them microchipped by.
All cats need to microchipped by the time they are 20 weeks of age,
this could be done during their neutering procedure so it can be placed easily and they do not feel it.

🐾🐾 Meet Pidgeon 🐾🐾 Pidegon visited us recently as she had cut her leg which required suturing. Here she is posing in her pet shirt, which with think is cool, not sure she agrees! This helps to keep the wound protected. Wound breakdown due to patient interference can be very high. We are pleased to say Pidgeon has made a full recovery and had her sutures removed 🥰
