ππΆ This video shows the importance of scent to your dogs.. we have an insignificant sense on smell in comparison to our dogs as we have an average of 5 million olfactory receptors where as our dogs have an average of 250 million scent receptors, some breeds with even more.
πβ€Channelling all that nose power is SO important as giving them an outlet provideS them with so much pleasure, lighting up those dopamine receptors - make their feeding more of an experience and give them the opportunity to rummage, work things out and scavenge! These are some activities which can be easily implemented day to day, your dog will thank you for it π.
