A proper car journey today to try and prepare the lads for their trip home at the weekend (😭😭😭)... Off to see Aunty Lulu (Tuppence's sister). I think Bertie might look like Aunty Lulu when he is older.... Cuba loved her and chased her round the table. Bertie preferred to have a nap!

Time to duff up Cuba now

Nanny Twigs sorts out Bertie.. who seems to know his name already!

Back from the vets... Cuba was a very brave boy. Bertie not quite so stoical.... perhaps it was the shock of him being told he is 6.6 kilos.. or perhaps he's needlephobic? Anyway, they can't get lost now they have their magic little return-to-sender implants.

8 weeks old.. off to the vets for chipping and innoculating (and more of that horrible Panacur!)
Grown up and a week away from leaving (cherish every day).. we both now have our proper names:
CUBA and BERTIE

Thrilled to announce that Blue has a home with Cuba's mum's mum! They will still see each other often. So happy.

Unexpectedly we need to find a home for our lovely boy. He is a real cuddle-bunny, has kept his bed dry since he was three weeks old, reliably uses puppy pads or paper if he gets caught short, has learnt that Alexa going off means it's lunchtime and knows to head for the door straight after eating.....

07/10/2021

So.. the lads have learnt a thing.. When I do their lunch, I always set Alexa for 5 minutes to make sure that their food isn't too warm. It appears that the boys know this! Alexa goes off - boys come in unbidden. And they seem to have learnt that you have to sit nicely before dinner arrives. Magic!

Seven weeks old... a much better trip in the car. Uncle Jarvis enjoyed the boys visiting.

01/10/2021

Pups had a lovely time visiting Uncle Jarvis. They didn't like the car very much so a few more trips needed to familiarise them with a jet-setting lifestyle.

Off we go in the car without Mummy.

Six weeks old.. really growing up now. Pups are very good at using a puppy pad by the door (pretty securely house-trained)... very good at coming to 'pup, pup, pup'... weigh over 4 kilos... have successfully met the cat .. and today go on an adventure in the car to Uncle Jarvis's house! They don't bat an eyelid at the 'loud noises' CD or at the hoover... pretty model lads.

5 weeks old. We can now:
- sleep all night
- eat 4 square meals a day
- keep our bed totally dry
- conquer steps
- play on the lawn
- come when we are called (mostly)

21/09/2021

Now the trouble starts! Home invasion..🙉

19/09/2021

Things to celebrate and things to be sad about..
Celebration.. the sun is shining and the boys are starting to come when they are called. Conquering doorways and becoming real characters.
Sadness.. we have had some fantastic potential puppy parents that life has conspired to make puppy ownership at this time too difficult.. so it is with a heavy heart that we actually have to advertise our boys as available to the 'general public'. Don't really want them to go if truth be told!!!

15/09/2021

First excursion onto the puppy patio this afternoon. All that extra space to run around in, they have now gone back up the ramp for a well deserved sleep!

13/09/2021

Yesterday Aunty Freya's puppy, Honey came to visit. When the pups are the same age as Honey they will probably weigh ten times more than her.. so she needs to get her sneak attacks in now!

10/09/2021

So proud of Flash.. at only 3 and a bit weeks I have seen him deliberately leave the puppy bed three times to do his business on the paper. He does a proper Labradoodle 'poo dance' and everything!.. House trained by the end of the week I reckon 🤣🤣🤣
Both boys are playing with their toys.. and look how grown-up they are eating their breakfast. 🥰🥰

08/09/2021

The lads applied for planning permission for an extension.. and it was granted! Listen to the celebrations.. 🤣🤣.. I am sleeping downstairs so I can do the middle of the night feeds. Pity me cos the noise rarely stops 🥴😳🙉🙉🙉

07/09/2021

The boys have their first proper meal... obviously ready for it!

07/09/2021

This is just 4 days after the previous 'feeding' video... now they can sit up, run and playfight (with little barks)... growing like weeds!

03/09/2021

Contrasting feeding styles there boys

03/09/2021

Blue loves sleeping on his back... and having his sweet spot tickled.

If you squint really hard you can just see Flash is beginning to open his eyes.

Introducing 'Flash'.. little brother but catching up fast. An adventurer (more because he lacks a sense of direction than any desire to be an explorer I fear).. A mere 280gms at birth but now a mighty 655gms.

Tuppence

Tuppence is an F2B Labradoodle born of Twiglet, our family pet and Buddy (Amarante Labradoodles) who are both black but have chocolate and cream in their bloodlines. We had just one litter with Twiglet - and her pregnancy and the early weeks in the life of pups are all documented on this site (there are LOTS of videos). Twiglet had 9 puppies and the forever parents still post regularly on the closed group forum. You will see that all the pups came back for their first birthday party (from as far away as Dartmouth, Brighton and Hampshire) and we board all our pups regularly so see them often. Lamarsh Labradoodles is a family and we feel our responsibilities to our pups continues even when they have gone to their forever homes.

Tuppence (who has excellent hip scores and a clear eye certificate) has mated with the very handsome Freddy. He is a cream, two-tone poodle with a lovely temperament. The puppies will therefore have an increased chance of softer coats and be highly unlikely to shed. Their colours could range from their grandmother’s black to chocolate, cream or even parti-coloured. We cannot guarantee colours of course and puppy selection will be according to waiting list order.

Tuppence has had a scan to confirm pregnancy and will receive regular check-ups to ensure all is well. We do have a waiting list already so please contact us if you are interested ([email protected]). We need to interview all prospective parents (following Kennel Club guidelines) and it is important that you meet Tuppence (and Twiglet) so you can appreciate their size and can ask questions.

The puppies will be raised in the family home, will be socialised with other dogs and small children, will have been ‘desensitised’ to the noise of fireworks, household machinery and thunderstorms and will have had trips out in the car. They will be regularly seen by the vet and will have been wormed, chipped and vaccinated. Most importantly they will have started the basic training that will help them become the obedient, affectionate and loyal pets we expect them to be. Puppies will be sent home with a ‘Welcome’ bag that contains genealogy information (going back 6 generations), a blanket which will have all the comforting smells of the whelping box, a toy that is familiar, a week’s supply of puppy kibble and a guidance leaflet with information and advice to see you through the first few weeks of puppy ownership.
