Barnie appreciation post

Barnie’s recall has improved massively over the last 3 months, he is a bundle of energy and a young dog which can sometimes affect his listening on our walks but with persistence and positive praise we have almost mastered his recall.

I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.

Please get in touch even if your dog can be challenging at times, it makes my job worth while when we see these kind of improvements because not only does it make our walks easier. The dogs have the best time on their walks too!

Here’s how I keep the dogs safe during this hot weather☀️🥵

☀️ Walks will be moved to shaded areas, ideally somewhere with access to a river or water.

😎 I keep a close eye on temperatures during the week. 21-22 degrees the walks will be shortened and then I will spend some time in the garden to make the hour up and if temperatures reach 23 degrees walks will be cancelled and you will be offered an alternative such as a garden visit.

☀️ Aircon will be on at all times to make it nice and cool in the car, also wet towels will be placed in the crate.

😎 I carry lots of water with me so the dogs can have a drink after the walk or during the walk.

☀️ I will try walk on grass and avoid pavements but if needed to walk on pavements I will feel it with the back of my hand to check how hot it is.

Better safe than sorry in these temperatures☀️

Groups at Pawfect walks 🥰🐾🥾

I break my day into 2 group walks;

Group one - A playful, energetic group full of dogs that love to play and run with each other.

Group two - A calm group which is full of dogs who like to plod and sniff but still like company of the other dogs.

Groups are great for dogs to socialise and to gain confidence with others, I make sure all my dogs in my groups have fun and tired out at the end🥰
