Harvey was obviously sick of waiting for me to finish my coffee so we could play....I was faced with an assortment of toys that he had chucked down the stairs to "encourage" me to get up and play. 🤣😅🤣

IT BLOWS MY MIND 🤪.....
It blows my mind as to why people question the delivery of treats whilst teaching a dog....however when they see someone shout, prod, or string a dog up by their collar they don't say a word!!
It seems some people would rather use aversive tactics rather than use caring and compassion 🙄

You know the boys getting old when he needs to be on a lead on the beach because he can't hear you calling him and he struggles to see he's heading for a child's sandcastle whilst in the midst of a zoomie session 🤭
However it didn't stop his fun. 😊🥰😌

Some dogs have a highly sensitive personality these dogs are so intune with their environment that they can suddenly become anxious on a walk for no obvious reason (to us that is, to them it's highly obvious) it can occur as a result of a distant sound, smell etc, they are able to read your intentions and are so tuned into their humans that you get away with nothing 😃 when these dogs develop behaviour problems it can be difficult to modify as they are often misunderstood, but with time, patience and understanding they can make huge progress 😀

Please give a warm welcome to our new girl Nina who has come in as an emergency. A young girl she has already been used for breeding and was being passed around and given away 😢 ‘Free’ dogs are often picked up by dog fighting rings who pose as prospective owners to acquire dogs.

Thank you to Michelle for getting her to safety. And to our Golden Paw Club members who have been her lifeline and will cover the cost of her spay and vaccinations. Isn’t she beautiful 😍

Well what a weird couple of weeks 😳
Harvey had an abcess develop on his bum of all places.
So off to the vets for antibiotics and pain meds came home and all he wanted to do was play.
Back to the vets (dosed up with sedative, as vets are not on the top of his friends list do in no way can they examine him) 😑
A very relaxed boy whilst in the car as soon as he saw the vet that sedative had no effect.
The joys of living with a sensitive soul 🤪🤪
Anyway he's back on full form antibiotics have done the job so we are back to normal routine which is fun and frolics and not forgetting enjoying the sun 😎
