Update regarding Badminton Horse Trials and the Kings Coronation in May 2023. 😊

News regarding Badminton Horse Trials & the Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships 2023

Since the news that The Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort is to be held on Saturday 6th May (Cross-Country day) we have been working on planning how to deliver the Event around the celebrations.

The Event will now start a day later so our cross-country day does not clash with The Coronation. The timetable will be as follows:

Wednesday 3rd May - Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships - (Dressage)

Thursday 4th May - International Event - Horse Inspection
Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships - Dressage, SJ, XC
Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse Class
Tradestands Open

Friday 5th May - International Event – Dressage

Saturday 6th May - International Event – Dressage

Sunday 7th May - International Event – Cross Country

Monday 8th May - International Event – Show Jumping

To allow those attending to be part of this historic day, the Saturday Dressage will start earlier in order to accommodate The Coronation which will be shown on the big screens. Dressage will recommence once The Coronation service has taken place.

We very much hope with this amount of notice, it will be possible for you to amend your plans and attend as usual.

Thank you for your support and we very much look forward to seeing you all at Badminton 2023.

🦄VERY FLASHY 4yr Bay Gelding by Quando Unico – Serious Dressage Prospect🦄

15.2 approximately, 4 year old gelding.
Photos are not current – they are taken from before he was sent away for backing.
With 4 white socks and a white face – this horse is not only beautiful to look at stood still, he has the paces to go with it!
Quo has the sweetest temperament, he’s very pleasant to deal with on the ground. Loads and travels superb, good for the farrier etc.
Quo has only very recently been backed, but is riding away nicely, going out to arena hires and hacking both alone and in company.
He has raw untapped potential, and we feel he would suit a serious amateur or professional to get the very best out of this superstar in the making.

He is by Quando Unico, who is by Quantensprung out of Florenza Filana (by Fidertanz). Quando Unico was approved at the 2018 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing and was named a premium stallion and sold at auction for 280,000 euro to Sprehe and Moritzburg. In 2021 Pearce and Quando Unico won the 7-year old test at the CDI Ornago, as well as at the CDI Pilisjaszfalu. In Verden, they were on medal course when they placed third in the 7-year old preliminary round at the World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
Only serious enquiries for this very special horse. He is unfortunately too small for current rider.

🐴🐴 16.3hh ISH Gelding 7 yo Cruising and Sandro Hit lines 🐴🐴

Macaroni is a beautiful blood type horse with all the cadence, elevation, carefulness, scope and agility to make it to the top!

On the flat; he works in an outline in all paces, has started doing changes, has the biggest canter. He’s adjustable, and sharp off the leg.

His jump is green but careful, scopey and powerful. He has competed to 1m at training shows, been hunting, jumping drops, water, ditches and everything inbetween!

Macaroni’s maternal half brother Darkos Promise was placed in the 1.65m world equestrian games final. With several other results at 1.60m with winnings exceeding €140k.

Piglet (stable name) is the most wonderful of horses; talented and easy to do, he attracts attention wherever he goes due to his striking looks and wonderful friendly temperament. He was bred from a fantastic mare and by Zandor (AES) also with lovely temperaments. Piglet was professionally broken in Spring and has since been carefully produced. He has done a local dressage competition and some local showjumping training and competition, he has also schooled over cross country fences and also recently been on hound exercise. Jumping he is confident, not bothered at all by fillers or water trays! Scopey but still green. He has proved bold cross country schooling; jumping coffins and in and out of water. Piglet was very straight forward to back and is an absolute pleasure to ride.
