Some catnip play for a few of the rescues! Dolly is enjoying it slightly too much!!! Dolly is a very sweet young cat who has lots of character and a lovely personality. Can anyone offer her or any of the MANY MANY others in my care a forever home? BKR cats are rehomed to be able to go outside safely unless otherwise stated so do not apply if you live on or near a busy road or railway track. Home check and rehoming fee apply. All cats & kittens will be vaccinated, over 4 months they have been neutered and all over 6 months have also been tested for FIV & FeLV. To apply please send a DM and answer ALL the questions asked in the automated reply
Margot was at the vets last night as she started going bald, thankfully it’s not contagious and the next step now her babies are weaned is to get her spayed so hormones can be ruled in or out as the cause. As you can see she was quite content being there!! Sadly, her little tabby kitten died unexpectedly when she was only 2 weeks old, another of her kittens has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) and the other one has a strange pouch of extra skin hanging from her belly. Cats with CH can live a very happy healthy life, there is no treatment or cure for it but they have no extra health problems because of it and life expectancy is just as long as any other cat. The sister will have to be adopted with her and they will have to be indoor cats but they are still very small so won’t be ready to go for another couple of weeks.
Snowy is the most sweetest, gentlest, quietest cat who is looking for her forever home. She turned up at a lady’s house a couple of years ago and was fed by her until she sadly passed away and the house had to be sold. She was an outdoor cat but as you can see she loves attention. She was very scared when she first arrived but has come on so much since then. She would make the best purry lap cat for someone in a quiet chilled out home.
If this doesn’t make you want to offer Ron and one of his babies a home together I don’t know what’s wrong with you 🤣 ALL the kittens just love him but wee Leo (the black kitten) absolutely hero worships Ron.
Are you looking to add a cat to your family? My fosters would love to find a home of their own. I have lots of new arrivals coming in over the next few days, this year has definitely been the busiest so far. If you would like to adopt Brian and/or Martha they would love to meet you. To apply go to the Paws adoption website (link in bio) and please read the questions and answer exactly as requested!!!! Adoption fee & home check required and no homes on or near a busy road or railway tracks.
Beautiful Barney was at our vets in Omagh last week for a dental, the poor boy had to have 4 teeth removed so he felt a little bit sorry for himself! He’s back to normal and would like to see if anyone would like to offer him his forever home? As you can see he’s such a sweet boy and really does try his hardest to get someone to adopt him but sadly to no avail 😢 He arrived here in June 2023 after being found as an unneutered stray. He’s been neutered, chipped, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV & FeLV and now also had a dental so has sparkly clean teeth! Can you grant Barney his wish of a forever home? Apply via the paws adoption site (link in bio) and please answer all the questions fully!!! Home check and adoption fee apply and as always NO homes on or near busy roads or railway tracks
How could you not love this pair? Super sweet, super purry & super adorable sisters Rose & Rita (Rita helpfully has 1 white whisker to help tell them apart!!) All their brothers have found their new homes and they can’t understand why no one wants them to join their family. They’ve both been neutered, chipped, vaccinated & tested negative for FIV & FeLV. If you can fulfill their wish of having a forever home together check out the PAWS adoption site (link in bio) and choose their profile and complete an application form, Home check & rehoming fee apply and as always NO homes on or near busy roads or railway tracks.
Another lovely cat with no applications is Tiddles. She is great with other cats, after having brought up her babies and now knows she will never have to do that again is just loving life and wants so much to have a human family to call her own.
Poor Fred is still looking for his forever homes, not one application for him 😢 Fred doesn’t appear to like cats so at the moment he would need to be an only cat. Go to the PAWS adoption website (link in bio) to apply for him. Home check and rehoming fee apply. NO homes on or near busy roads or railway tracks.
Brian, Martha, Rita & Rose were having lots of fun last night with this TK Maxx find!! These 4 are still looking for their forever homes. All have been vaccinated, neutered, chipped & tested negative for FIV & FeLV. Check out the PAWS adoption website (link in bio) where you can read about the cats available and fill in an application form. NO homes on or near busy roads or railway tracks. Home check and rehoming fee apply.
Martha is a gentle wee soul, she arrived with 5 kittens which weren’t her first litter 😢 she’s very timid but once she’s settled in a new home she’d be a great addition. As you can see once she knows someone she loves head scratches and I’ve got her to sit on my knee a couple of times. She needs a very quiet home with no children and preferably another cat (she does get on well with Brian!) She’ll need lots of patience and time to get used to her new home, it’s very likely she could take quite a while. Can you give her the quiet loving patient home she needs and deserves (I don’t know her past but from her behaviour I don’t think she has dealt with nice humans apart from the lovely lady who fed her and rescued her when she appeared on her garden) Apply via the website (link in bio) or send a message and answer ALL the questions asked in the automated reply. Home check and rehoming fee apply. NO homes on or near busy roads or train tracks.
Can you open your home to handsome Fred? Found as a stray with a cat bite abscess. He’s very sweet & give the best head bumps but he can also have a little bit of a grumpy side (don’t we all!!) so would best suit a home with no very young children and preferably he would be the only cat. Fred has been neutered, chipped & tested for FIV&FeLV. He has had his 1st vaccine and is booked in for his 2nd on 9th July. If you’d like to apply to adopt Fred go to the website (link in bio) and fill in an application or send a message and answer ALL questions asked in automated reply. Home check and adoption fee apply. NO homes on or near a busy road or railway track.
Margot and her 3 daughters are doing well. Margot is a great mum and she’s very proud of her babies! This will be her last litter though and then she can go back to being a kitten herself.
Tiddles is one very happy kitty now she knows she’ll be having no more babies! Her little ones are heading to their new home next week but Tiddles is still waiting for her forever home. She was in getting her 1st vaccine this morning and is booked in for her 2nd in 3 weeks. Can you offer this lovely lady a chance to finally live life as she deserves to live it? If you are interested please send a message to the page and answer ALL questions asked in the automated reply or go to the website listed in the bio. Home check and rehoming fee apply.
Not one application for these lovely sisters. Polly & Penny are the sweetest pair who would love to have a permanent home to call their own. They love cuddles together and with humans. They’ve been parasite treated, neutered, vaccinated, chipped & tested negative for FIV & FeLV. Can you open your heart to these girls? Apply via the PAWS website (link in bio) or send a message and answer ALL questions asked in the automatic reply. NO homes on or near a busy road. Home check and rehoming fee apply.
Thank you again to everyone who bought a name for the smartwatch, another £80 raised to help all the wee ones in my care. A lovely slightly older kitten came into my care a few weeks ago who was found straying. Apart from having the odd flea and not being neutered he was in good condition and super friendly. Thankfully he will now not be contributing to the ever growing cat population and he is flea free but when he was in for his first vaccine last night he has these critters breeding in his ears. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable this must be for cats poor wee things. The ear mite literally looks like a speck of dust on the slide so they are not visible to the naked eye. Vet visits like this are what your generous donations help towards so thank you. I’m currently on the train to Dublin to meet up with a lovely friend for the day so I don’t have the card with me to post a photo of it but will do that tomorrow. The winner is the Fossil smartwatch is David Loughran congratulations David
Meet Tiddles, she arrived just over 2 weeks ago with 2 lil babies that were only a few days old. She went into heat last weekend! This is how soon after giving birth that unneutered cats can get pregnant again. So, if anyone wonders why they should get their cats neutered this is it, had Tiddles still been straying at a factory she would have had litter after litter after litter and so on, her offspring would have then started mating with each other from 4 months old which then opens up a whole other problem of their kittens being born with genetic defects. Yes, kittens are cute but seriously we have such a huge problem in Northern Ireland thanks to people not neutering their cats and then when the cute little kittens are no longer perceived to be cute they are dumped. It is breaking my heart to see Tiddles like this but she shouldn’t really be neutered until her babies are weaned and there is also a higher risk of neutering her whilst she is in heat. All my male cats here are neutered and she is safe and secure in her cosy pod.
I’m hoping she’ll finish this cycle soon (it’s been a week 😢), her lil ones can start weaning in week or so then she can be neutered and start enjoying life as a carefree kitty cat.
Dottie is looking fab! She’s moved into the kitten room, she tolerates the others but she’s made it quite clear that she prefers the company of humans especially if they give her lots of cuddles and lets her curl up on their lap (she’s curled up on my lap as I type this!) She now needs to have her hip surgery and get neutered as id say it’s very unlikely she has already been done.
