What a fabulous week for two of Jacks offspring in Germany!

2 of Jacks offspring passed the German hunting dog field trail examination today.

This is a great result for them. Yes Jack sired a litter in Germany! 😱

Good news post for today! Red had her DNA tests done and although she was hereditary clear I wanted to make sure. She is however Genetically clear for:

Prcd-PRA
STGD
MCD

THIS is great news for her! Results of her eye tests and DNA tests will be uploaded to KC record really soon!

Fingers crossed for Red 🤞🤞

After her eye tests on Sunday, I have just sent off her DNA sample.

Yes I am that organised to have the DNA testing kit at home ready!

Red is not even a year old, so you maybe wondering why I am doing them, well that is simple, eye tests are the cheapest so you do that first, DNA tests are the second cheapest and can be done anytime, hips and elbows are the most expensive and must be done over 1 year of age. So I do the eye and DNA first before a year old to make sure they are ok, then if all good onto the hips and elbows.

Red is actually hereditary clear for 4 DNA tests but I’m having them done to double check, although parents are clear it’s wise to re test offspring to just make sure.

A good news post for this morning. We have been over to Lincoln to have our eyes tested…. Well not me Jack and Red.

Both are unaffected for all the tests which is great news.

Next for Red is her DNA tests! Strathieburn Zodiac of Shootingsky and Shootingsky Inferno! Whoop
