It’s possibly my favourite time of the year when Spring turns into Summer. The long daylight hours, the green crops rippling in the breeze, the wild flowers bursting into colour in the meadows and the warm sun on my face. It’s these simple pleasures that make walking with dogs even more enjoyable.

It’s been a busy year so far and the summer months will be busier, so I’m sorry If you haven’t been able home board with us.

It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of another year. One filled with special memories thanks to the wonderful dogs and cats and their lovely owners. A huge thank you to everyone who’s entrusted us with the care of their pets.

Sadly since our last post beautiful Daisy journeyed on to the rainbow bridge. She was such a sweet natured dog who loved her walks and stays with us. We miss her greatly.

Many thanks for the generous Christmas gifts we received. We are truly grateful.

We wish you and your pets a healthy and happy new year.

As the warm days give way to darker chilly evening, we’re looking back at some of our favourite moments during the Summer months. We’ve loved our walks through the ever changing fields and lazy afternoons snoozing in the garden.

Sadly for some this was their last summer as they journeyed on to the rainbow bridge. We were heartbroken to say farewell to some much loved friends. To Honey with her unique mix of DNA and amazing friendship with Barney. To Jagger and her party trick of ‘Rolling Stones’ and barking at planes. And to Lilly who stood for no nonsense from any other house guests. We remember them all with such fondness and happy memories.

Last month the sun finally appeared from behind the clouds, but April showers were never far away, producing inviting muddy puddles for the dogs to play in.

Our boarding service continues to bring your delightful dogs into our home and it’s a joy and privilege to care for them.

In March we celebrated the 6th anniversary of welcoming Barney to his forever home. He now has a wonderful pack of friends who come to stay and walk with us.

It’s lovely to see the lambs grazing in the meadows, the crops flourishing in the fields and temperatures creeping a little higher.

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. Me and Barney greeted 2024 in the company of Joey and Nellie who both returned to board with us.

Many thanks for the lovely gifts we received from our generous customers. We are truly blessed to have your support and spend time with your dogs.

In December, we got to welcome old friends and make some new ones too. Here’s a few pictures of what we got up to.
