‘Eleanor has an amazing insight into dog behaviour, she’s calm and friendly and her support and advice to us with our newly rehomed labradoodle has transformed how we handle him In public with reactivity issues. We are doing separation anxiety training with Eleanor now which is a really positive journey and she has given lots of really practical advice around recall and other training- wish we had known it with our old dog! She’s always on hand and responds to all queries rapidly, always cheerful, encouraging and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend her. Your dog wanting to be with you is quite normal especially for some breeds. Remember your dog being your shadow doesn’t cause separation anxiety so is absolutley fine 😀

New clients often say ‘I know I shouldn’t but…’

We choose how we would like to share our lives with our dogs and as long as we are consistent and fair there are very few things we shouldn’t do.

My dogs share my sofa because I want them to. If you do too that is awesome. If you would prefer they don’t that is awesome too.

I work with each family building the habits each family would prefer to have with their dog using kind and fair science based methods. This way we can have the very best relationship with our canine companions living in harmony.

Been out working with this gorgeous flatcoat who has a phobia of cars and wouldn’t even go out the door if the car was in the drive.

His mum has been working on desensitisation with him and the car for a couple of months and he’s is now quite comfortable hopping in and is beginning to make short journeys.

Just lovey to see him relaxed and even asking to go in the car if the boot is closed 🥳

Just love seeing skills and confidence growing and Maddy did a super job today searching for her target odour.

Motivation and enjoyment should always be forefront in scentwork and how we teach it is so important.

Taking your time with the foundations, making it fun and rewarding, really pays off, as can be seen in this young dog’s drive and enthusiasm to search which is wonderful to see.

It’s such a joy to see the transition in dogs in our classes from beginning to end.

These dogs in our dog skills for everyday class initially found it hard to focus on their owners and to be calm around other dogs.

With practice and positive methods these dogs are now acing the skills which are developing wonderfully out in their day to day situations.

Having only 4 dogs makes a huge difference and gives each team lots of time to ask questions and get help. The support at home as they practice allows the skills to easily transfer to outside the class room.

I don’t like to take ‘before’ pictures as I feel it is stressful enough for owners coming into class and my job is to support and build confidence in a non judgemental way.

Well done everyone and see you all next week 🥳

We can use this skill to help our dogs to learn what to do when we do things like the dishwasher 😀
