Please continue to help us find a forever home for beautiful Rosie 🩷🐾

We put out an appeal last week for dear 3 year old Rosie but sadly, she's had no applications 😿

Rosie came into our care last year with her kittens. Both Rosie and her kittens were incredibly malnourished but after lots of feeding up and much needed TLC, Rosie built up lots of strength to look after her babies and they went off to their new homes but Rosie bless her, is still here waiting for that special someone to choose her as their furry family member 💕

Rosie is a very friendly girl, enjoying lots of fusses and she adores cat milk and Dreamies! She loves to play with her cat nip toys too 😻

We have a trio of handsome tabbies for you all on this week with the Three Amigos; Ned, Dusty & Lucky (known to us as The Chipmunks whilst in our care) - adopted last June 🤎🩶🤍

You may remember these chaps as teeny tiny kittens that needed to be hand-reared after being found abandoned in a field by a very clever dog 🍼🐾

"The boys are doing great and have grown into lovely caring and rather cheeky trouble makers, they spend most of their days chasing after & playing each other, grooming and cuddling together, they really do have the most wonderful bond and it’s so lovely to watch."

Ned is the 'stair tripper' Dusty is the scavenger and Lucky has a foot fe**sh! 😹

Beautiful ginger girl Poppy found her fur-ever home back in June 2020 and we recently received this lovely photo of her 🧡

Poppy is a very friendly & cuddly girl who loves her cat-mummy very much! She is amazing company and they are truly pawsome companions! 😸🐾

Did you know that the usual cat has 18 toes; 4 toes & a dewclaw on each front paw, and 4 toes on each back paw 🐾

Some cats however, can be born with extra toes that are usually on their front paws. These cats are called polydactyl (remember the cats with thumbs milk advert?!)

Cat's paws have glands between their toes that secrete a unique scent, and cats use their paws to mark their territory. So when your cat scratches a surface such as a scratching post or tree (but hopefully not your furniture!) they are depositing some of the scent from these glands, marking it as theirs! 😼

Cats also have sweat glands in their paws which are designed to help them regulate their body temperature, but they will also secrete sweat when they feel stressed or anxious.

The same pigment that colours your cat’s coat also colours their skin. So in solid colour cats, their paw pads are usually the same colour as their fur. In multi-coloured cats, their paw pads may range from pink to black and also be multicoloured 🐈🐈‍⬛

Bramble & Amber have turned 7 months old now, and they are doing very well with their family in their forever home since being adopted last September 🐾

"They are full of beans. Their favourite toys at the moment are ping pong balls and Amber has quite impressive ball control dribbling skills. Bramble prefers a full on pounce. We can’t imagine life without them." 💕😸
