My name is Rachel & I have worked in the animal industry for 21 years since leaving school. Animals are my passion & I simply could not see myself working in any other industry. I studied for 4 years to achieve a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management & then a Foundation Degree in Zoological Conservation Management. After 16 years of working hard for other businesses, in 2016 I decided to take

the plunge & officially set up my own Pet Services Business & I haven't looked back since! Through my work & my own hobbies I have gained a great deal of experience working with many different animals, ranging from domestic dogs/cats, reptiles/amphibians, small mammals, birds, ponies/horses etc. Having worked in a reputable local kennels & cattery for 5 years I gained a great deal of experience which formed the basis of my present day knowledge. I am very competent with dogs & have a good understanding of their psychology. I have a rescue dog of my own, Brandy (12 year old chocolate Labrador), who came to me with issues. He is very dog sociable & welcomes any other dog into our home...... he even shares his beds & toys!! :)

Due to my interests I have gained a great deal of experience with exotics. Over the years I have rescued & bred different reptiles & am not fazed by caring for any such animal! Infact......... I encourage it! More unusually, I am competent in handling & caring for owls & birds of prey & have 10 years experience of working with them. As the senior staff member, I managed a rehabilitation hospital & the overall health/welfare of a very large collection of owls/mammals in my previous job. On numerous occasions I have lived on site during holiday periods for business owners in order to oversee the day to day management of the resident animals. I have also house-sat many times for private home owners. I have several positive references available for you to view. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I love & treat any animal under my care as if they were my own & you can rest assured I take that privilege very seriously, providing a professional service at all times. It was a difficult festive period for us, but was made so much better thanks to all of our lovely doggy guests! They have kept us very busy & have all been a pleasure to care for! Featured below are the lovely dogs from our New Year’s wknd! 💗🐾

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your business & for keeping us so incredibly busy for another year! We never take it for granted & really appreciative your support! Particularly when the economy is becoming increasingly difficult for us all. 🙏🐾

I’d also like to thank you personally for your patience. I am the CEO, the receptionist, the accounts manager, the front of house, the doggy taxi, the dog carer, the cleaner, the veterinary assistant, the dog walker, the laundry operator, the behaviourist, the photographer, the groomer, the researcher & the poo picker! Just to name a few! (If it wasn’t for the support from Aarron I would never eat or sleep! 😂🙈). It is more than a full time occupation & there are simply never enough hours in the day! I really apologise that sometimes it takes a little while to get back to your enquiries, but the dogs in our care are & will always be, the priority. I will however, always get back to you & I really do appreciate your patience in this 🙏💗🐾

We have sadly lost so many beautiful old faces this year including our gorgeous Brandy & we feel the pain with every loss 😔😢 We miss them all terribly & like to think of them all reunited, running freely together again 💗🌈🐾

We have of course welcomed some new faces along the way too & look forward to seeing more of those this year…… as well as our wonderful regulars who truly are the back bone of this business! 🙏🐾🥰

Thank you all so much for your kind & caring thoughts & words. We knew Brand’s was a popular boy, but gosh…… we were quite overwhelmed! 💞🙏
We’re ever so appreciative & it’s really helped us get through a tough period 🙏🐾💔

We’ve managed to donate Brandy’s food & meds & supplements to worthy recipients, but I don’t know of anyone that uses this supplement?! 🤔

It’s taken me a little while to post this because we still can’t quite come to terms with it & I’ve struggled to find the words, but we needed to let you all know. We are devastated to say we recently had to let our gorgeous Brandy boy go 😔💔🐾🌈

He was diagnosed with a tumour on his spleen & a few days later we had to make the hardest decision to let him go before he began to suffer. One of the toughest days of our lives 😔😢💔

Thankfully we managed to spend a lovely last few days with him…… visiting the beach, his favourite walk at Cardinham woods & saying goodbye to all of his special people & paw friends 🙏🥰🐾

Brandy was such a gentle soul. He wore his heart on his sleeve & I don’t think we’ll ever meet another dog like him 😔 He had such a big fan club & he was the best dog, best boy……………… our boy. We feel like he has taken apart of us with him 💔🌈 🐾😔

Coming through the front door without being greeted by the happiest boy holding one of his beloved collection of soft toys in his mouth for us, is breaking our hearts on a daily basis 💔🐾🥺

Our only consolation is to know that he is reunited with Poppy & we know for sure they’ll be running freely, causing havoc & Poppy will be barking of course……. & Brandy will be barking alongside her for no reason other than to back her up…… because that’s just what he did 💞🐾

He was the perfect ambassador for the doggy hotel & he LOVED greeting all of our clients, he always thought people had come to see him! 🙈😂 He was great at settling the “newbies” in on their first day. Many of our regulars were very bonded with Brandy & will miss him just as much as we do 😔💔🐾

Until we meet again Brands……. 💔🌈🐾🥺😘
