My Best Friend North Shropshire

My Best Friend North Shropshire is owned and operated by Karen Horton.

Growing up near Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, I always enjoyed long walks in the woods with my family and our dogs, Bonnie, Shep and Pepe. Walks around the Wrekin were also particular favourite places to visit, so much so that my family migrated West into Shropshire.

Over the years, I volunteered for pet sitting for friends, family and colleagues, looking after a variety of dogs from Shih Tzuโ€™s to Dobermans, socialising energetic puppies to become confident and outgoing whilst also hanging out with the seniors when they just wanted to lie on the sofa and watch TV.

I had a 25-year career managing health and community development projects in the UK and overseas, but I always knew I wanted to set up my own business one day, to be closer to family and friends and of course to spend more time with my own dog, Milo.
