Phew… it’s a little cooler today, which means a much nicer temperature for the dogs to enjoy a good run, sniff and mooch around the Buddy & Beau Secure Dog Fields 🌿🐕

Just a few friendly reminders for today:

⏰ Please respect everyone’s session by arriving and leaving on time.

💩 Pick up after your dog and please remember to tie your poo bags securely before putting them in the bin.

🚭 Absolutely no smoking — the grass is extremely dry at the moment, so this is really important for everyone’s safety.

Most importantly… have fun and enjoy your field time! 💚🐾

We’re excited to share that Buddy & Beau Dog Grooming now has a brand new air conditioning system installed in the studio! 🎉

Your dog’s comfort and wellbeing are always our top priority, and this latest upgrade means we can provide an even calmer, safer grooming experience.

☀️ Hot Weather Update for This Week ☀️

With the warmer temperatures forecast this week, we’ve adjusted our opening hours to help keep your dogs safe and comfortable.

🐾 The field will now open from 6am, giving you the chance to enjoy those cooler morning walks before the heat of the day arrives. We will be closing during the afternoon when temperatures are at their highest.

Remember, on hot days your dog doesn’t need a marathon run. Swap the ball flingers for a slower-paced adventure and let them do what dogs love best—sniff, explore, mooch, and enjoy the sights and smells around the field. Mental stimulation through sniffing can be just as rewarding as physical exercise.

💧 Please make sure your dog has access to fresh water, take plenty of breaks, and keep an eye out for signs they’re getting too warm.

Stay safe, enjoy the early mornings, and we’ll see you and your pups at the field! 🐕🌿

A little drizzle shouldn’t stop the adventures at Buddy & Beau Secure Dog Fields. Our four-legged friends still need their fresh air, exercise, sniffs and zoomies because let’s be honest, some dogs think rainy walks are the best kind! 🐕💦

Meet Spanish Billy… aka the little legend who completely stole our hearts 🐾✨

After spending his first five years living the street life in Northern Spain, this charming rogue hopped aboard his very own “happy bus” and landed straight into our home (and onto the sofa… and into our lives forever).

These days, Billy lives by a strict daily schedule:
eat → p**p → sleep → love → repeat.
With the occasional very optional walk… but only if the sun is shining. Rain? Absolutely not. Billy does not do soggy paws, thank you very much ☔🚫

He’s a wonderfully scruffy little mix of terriers, and you can see it all in his coat. A hint of Yorkshire Terrier in his colouring, a touch of Border Terrier in that wiry texture, and we suspect a sprinkle of Norwich or Norfolk Terrier thrown in for good measure. A true one-of-a-kind blend 💛

The best part? His coat is beautifully low-maintenance. No moulting, no matting, no drama — just a gentle brush through and the occasional eyebrow tidy to keep him looking dapper.

We adore him in his natural scruffy style, keeping his coat a little longer and cosier through winter, then switching to a smart “short back and sides” for summer. Honestly… he pulls off both looks effortlessly 😎

Billy absolutely loves being groomed — it’s his time to shine and soak up all the attention. But afterwards? It’s straight into full relaxation mode… a nap, a cuddle, and a little extra love (as if he doesn’t get enough already).

Our Spanish Billy… rescue dog, sunshine lover, professional napper, and the most lovable little character you could ever meet 🐶💕
