This beautiful girl is a Romanian rescue. She needs a lot of TLC as she has had major surgery on her hind limbs. She has been having physiotherapy from Becky at Little Green Stables and hydrotherapy from Roz at Pool4Dogs. This is how I got involved as my corgi has been treated by Becky and Roz. The first time I met Jana at my studio I could see that she was going to need some extra time to learn to trust me. So it became a team effort! Roz is involved with a Rottweiler rescue charity that had organised a fun dog show. Jana and her guardians were going to go so I went too and spent some time just pottering around with them. I then went along to some of Jana’s hydrotherapy sessions. Jana was starting to be much more confident around me so we hatched a plan to get Jana groomed with the least amount of stress. I knew one of the sticking points with grooming her in my studio was going to be getting her into my bath. It is steel with steel steps which isn’t a problem for most dogs but I didn’t want to risk Jana’s delicate hind quarters as she would be climbing up into a new environment. However, she was used to being washed off before and after her hydro sessions so we bathed her at Pool4Dogs. She then came to the studio for a brush and trim. The end result was fabulous. A lovely, clean, fluffy dog!

As I am currently out of action I thought that I would catch up on uploading photos. It has been a while as I have been so busy, but now I have a broken finger I have time to catch up on admin. 😢

Lupin is a 3 yo Malamute x Husky. He is such a friendly, outgoing boy. It was his first trip to the groomers so we decided that it would be better for him to split the groom into shorter sessions. He had 2 short introduction grooms and then 3 sessions of de-shed, wash and trim and then finally mane, tummy and a few last minute snips! He is an absolute credit to his pawrents and he was a delight to work with.

When I first met Harvey, he had had a stressful experience and I couldn’t get near him with a pair of scissors. Over the last 18 months, we have worked with him using “Taking the Grrr Out of Grooming Techniques” He has had the full support of his pawrents and today was a massive breakthrough. It made me so happy to see him looking relaxed on the grooming table. ❤️
