🐾 Fergus’ Big Day at the Vets! 🐾

Yesterday we had a very special visitor… Fergus, our head nurse Sophie’s handsome boy! 💙

He popped in to have his ears checked, and as you’ll see from the photos, he had quite the emotional journey…

Emergency blood stocks are critically low! 😔🩸

We urgently need the help of our wonderful community to make sure no dog goes without the blood they need this winter 💔

We want to ensure there is enough blood available for every dog that needs it, including our very own patients, but supplies are running out. More dogs are urgently needed to come forward and donate blood so that supplies can be rebuilt and every dog can get the blood they need 🙏

🐀✨ Meet Jack Skellington! ✨🐀

Our handsome rat friend Jack Skellington was in last week to see our vet Faye for his castration — and he was such a brave little boy! 💪💙

He took everything in his stride and made the most of his recovery time with plenty of yummy food (his favourite part, of course!) and lots of post-op cuddles from the team 🥰

🐾 Stray Dog Found – Tottington Branch 🐾

This little Jack Russell Terrier has been brought into our Tottington branch after being found as a stray. He’s an entire male and does have a microchip, but unfortunately the details are not registered.

Please note that proof of ownership will be required before he can be collected.

🐶 Meet Massey! 🩺💉

This handsome 8-week-old pup came in recently for his very first vaccinations — and he was such a brave boy! 💪✨

He also decided to give our stethoscope a thorough chew test while he was here… just to make sure it was working properly, of course 😉
Massey belongs to our lovely RVN Gabby, and we think he’s going to keep her very busy with those puppy teeth! 🐾💛.

We love meeting your new puppies and helping them get off to a healthy start. Remember, first vaccinations are an important step in keeping your little one protected as they explore the big wide world! 🌍💛

🎆 Bonfire Night is almost here! 🎇

While we love the fireworks, our pets often don’t 💥 — loud bangs and bright flashes can be very scary for them.
Now’s the perfect time to:

🐶 Plan ahead: Create a safe, cosy space indoors for your pets.
🐱 Keep them inside: Close windows and curtains to help muffle the noise.
💊 Check medication: If your pet needs calming supplements or prescription medication to help them cope with fireworks, please order as soon as possible.

We get very busy this time of year with requests for firework medication.
Pets will need an appointment with a vet before firework medication can be prescribed, and we only have a limited number of appointments available over the next few days, as we need to keep some free for sick patients.
Please contact us early to avoid disappointment and help us keep all our furry friends safe and calm this Bonfire Night ❤️🎆

🎃🐾 Happy Halloween from Frank the black cat! 🐾🎃

Our handsome Frank is here to remind everyone that black cats are just as loving, playful and magical as any other colour — they just happen to have the best Halloween style all year round! 🖤✨

Sadly, black cats are often overlooked in rescue centres because of old myths and superstitions — and even because they don’t “photograph well” (we completely disagree, Frank’s camera ready 24/7 😻📸).

So this Halloween, let’s show our love for the beautiful black cats out there! 💕
If you’re thinking about adopting, don’t pass by the sleek, shadowy ones — they might just be your purr-fect match. 🐈‍⬛💫
