Lizzie is one of our locum vets, and having grown up in Chester and locumed at many practices in the area since graduating from RVC she is a well loved character!
Lizzie has the biggest smile and loves nothing more than meeting new furry faces! 🐾 We are grateful to have her positive attitude and heaps of knowledge, especially in internal medicine, every Wednesday.

Alfie is one of our regulars for seizure bloods and every time he comes he’s so well behaved, greets us all with cuddles and enjoys some treaties! 🧡
A big clap for Alfie who never complains and has a wagging tail, and also his owners who are so proactive and patient with his health needs! 👏🏻

Happy 22nd Birthday to Katie! 🐈🥳🎂

Katie is one of our oldest and regular patients as she comes to us monthly for her arthritis injection (Solensia). Since starting her injections her mobility and comfort has dramatically improved, and she is back to enjoying life! 🌸
On top of this Katie also has an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) which is managed with her daily liquid medication. We are now keeping her steady on her medications as she is doing so well! 👏🏻

Katie is such a lovely brave girl and we are so excited for her 22nd birthday! 🧡

MISSING KITTEN 🐈

A ginger kitten was found in Barrow on Tuesday morning and is currently under our care as he does not have a microchip.

If you believe you are or know the owners please contact the practice. We will need proof of identity and ownership.

Unfortunately our systems and phone lines have just gone down, if you are ringing us we can answer but we cannot hear your end. We are open until 6:30pm if you have an emergency or our OOH will be able to assist you on 01244 853823.

We want to take a moment to say well done to Peter! 😍

Peter came to us a few months ago for his booster but was so scared we weren’t able to do it as he worked himself up into such a frenzy! We like our patients to feel at ease and safe with us so after lots of discussion between us we developed an action plan.

Peter and his owners put in so much hard work, including bringing Peter to the practice every day for acclimatisation! Working with Peter alongside his owners and behaviourist paid off because last week Peter successfully had his booster vaccination! 🥳
On top of this Peter will now give us cuddles and kisses, and will always greet us with a waggy tail! 💕

Peter has come such a long way and big congratulations are needed for Peter and his owners for putting in so much time and effort throughout this journey! Well done guys! 👏🏻

How handsome is Louis! 😍

Louis came in today for a blood sample and nail clip 🩺
Louis is the sweetest boy but was a bit nervous as he is a rescue dog so is unsure of new people. However with some calming medications, treats and cuddles he was enjoying himself by the end of the consult, and even started falling asleep during his blood sample! ❤️

Well done for being so brave Louis! ⭐️
