Oh such sad news.
Sliver closed her eyes for the last time on Monday.
Going to be so strange visiting the rest of the pack tomorrow and Silver not be there.
She was a lovely girl, I spent a lot of time gaining her trust due to her being very nervous. Took over a year to get this far, where she was actually enjoying the fuss and my company.
I used to have to call her in, but the last few weeks she'd run back to her bed when she saw me getting ready to go in, lay down and wait for me... I had started to massage her back and legs due to pains she was having. I think she was enjoying them massages...
So special to gain trust from such a nervous dog.
Video is from my last visit with them last month.
Youre all free from pain now, fly free at the bridge Silver. You will be very much missed by all of us
Buddys first run..
He ran so well.
I see a few mistakes I made, mostly my cues are a little late for him and so it delays him as he has to readjust his footing/direction...
Mostly my brain not going fast enough for him haha...
Millie the over day during my first visit with her.... who said she Ms shy haha. Look at her teaing me to chase her...
A simple setup I like to do once dogs understand a few of the basic commands and moves...
Nice low jumps for many reps with out the intensity on the joints.
Look at willow having a great time.
Willow showing off some tricks
Not done criss cross in a while. Always one she gets confused on, because I mix my words up all the time.
Absolutely amazing time during Buddy first competition.
We've only been training together for 4 and a half months, so a little premature for competing him, this was more to see how he'd be in such a situation, And he excelled.
Im so proud of him.
His jumping was nice and smooth, listen and focused so well on me and the course.
Mistakes were mostly me getting lost. I'd sat photographing other people running and I still got lost haha.
Two of his runs in this video. Thank you to buddys parents for bringing him and recording and tbh entrustinf him with me
Happy birthday to Connie. She turned 1 yesterday...🥰
Flying around her sequences so well now.
Weave training...
Harvey and Connie are catching on super well.
Buddy too.
Zoomy alert.... Milo and Oakie having fun together. Love that my oak now has a friend his own size.
Had to run the girls too willow and luna... 8 and 9 years old and still run courses super well... even catching on to my new words fast, I've change a few bits since I ran these two in competitions.
With willow I said the wrong word at the end, said "away" instead of "over". away is for layering stuff
I may enter them in to small veteran runs, as,l they just love the sport still..
I will see how things are when I'm booking in the other 3 in to events.
Buddys too first mini course...
He's so lovely to run, and such a patient boy when he's waiting his turn.
Usually a collie is all hobby when watching other dogs run but he's so quite.
Saves the ear and having a headache...looking at you luna-rea
Harvey and Connie's first time on a mini course.
They did amazing. They kept focused and enthusiastic the whole way round...
So proud at how they have progressed.
Going to increasing some speed and drive.. get them blasting through that tunnel without a second thought haha...
To think they're going to be such good friends...
On way back I had both zipping and zooming about.
Nice to see my oak open to playing... like my willow, although they can walk with most dogs, they're picky who the actually play with... oakie enjoyed milo from the get go..
No rain so you'd think dry dogs. Nah let's have a paddle haha.. client request 😅
Although for once they were dry by the time they got back to the car. It was that warm today 😅 weather's changing... soon we'll be moaning it too hot...
Connie doing amazing at the game, she runs full out and has such a blast playing this game...
I switched a post for a tunnel, to help get more tunnel work in. Increase that drive to it and speed through them. 😊
Connie and Harvey practicing some go rounds and wraps. They're starting to run and drive on ahead of me now 😊 they just absolutely love these little games...
While the other 4 are in the garden, me and Siri have a quick play... unless it's sunny she doesn't venture into the garden. So we do this 🥰
Niskas first car search, She did amazing, focused so well for who she is
there were 4 hides, all Kong. one tin, 2 pieces and a pipette.
Video is of the last two, pipette and piece. She has such a lovely sit indication and now she's giving me a down.
Once we finished we did a little walk and she was much calmer than normal. Scent work really helps ground somw dogs, bringing all those arousal levels down.
My oakley was in the car too, she gave no notice of him, even when he did give a couple of squeaky barks.
My shepherd willow getting that fox perfume all over her, while oak and dave are busy sniffing their pee-mails 🙂 perfect morning walk for them...
