Not only is it Halloween, but it’s my Halloween baby’s 5th birthday today! 5 years of you Sox, Happy Birthday my “tiny boy”. 5yrs since myself and a few other people set about rescuing you and your little family. My first “foster fail” and I couldn’t imagine my life without you in it 🥰 We love you to bits you absolute lunatic 🤪 We’d also like to wish Sox’s sister (Gizmo) and brother (Bronson) Happy Birthday too ❤️ 🎂 🐾 🎁 🎈

It’s that time of year once again! Happy Halloween everybody! We hope any of our clients with small humans, have fun going trick or treating (if you partake), and we also hope that everyone has a nice evening enjoying some classic spooky films, pumpkin carving and of course… spending time with your wonderful furbabies. I think ours look rather cute (and of course scary) in their outfits 🎃 👻

We had the absolute pleasure of looking after little Penelope over the last week. She is bundles of fun, loves a cuddle and is very chatty 🥰 her owners have done a wonderful job when getting her used to being handled, and it’s a testament to how safe she feels around humans. She only took an evening to settle in, and was comfortable enough around us by the second night, to chill on the sofa with us in her cuddle cosy. We can’t wait to look after her again ❤️

I had an email from a prospective client, who has 2 dwarf bunnies that are “semi-bonded”. They had been in touch with various pet care professionals, who sadly were unable to offer the specific set-up that these little guys need. As I have a lot of house rabbit clients who need “free roam”, I have a grid set up that can be connected in many different ways depending on a client’s requirements. As such, I was able to give these 2 handsome chaps, a set up similar to what they have at home. They cannot be in the same enclosure as they sometimes disagree… however, they like to be able to cuddle up next to each other when they go to sleep 🥰 by setting up the grid with a barrier in the middle, I could offer the perfect home away from home for these 2.
So, if you have a pair of rabbits/guinea pigs that need to be able to see each other, but must be separated… I can accommodate 🥰

Many of you who have followed us from the beginning, may remember Marvin. He was an owner surrender that we fostered back in April 2021. He went to his forever home in August 2021.
It is with great sadness that we must announce, this week Marvin became very poorly, very quickly, and his hoomins had to make the hard decision, to let Marv take his journey over the rainbow bridge 🌈 We cannot put into words how much of a hole this beautiful boy will leave. We were lucky enough to have Marvin and his furry siblings board with us a few weeks ago, and are beyond grateful that we spent lots of time with him. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time 😔
Fly high Marvin The Magnificent. You will be missed so much 🐾 🌈 💔

It’s been a hectic couple of months, so much so that I’ve not been great at keeping you all updated with our lovely clients furbabies! Please accept this photo upload of some of our latest pet sits/boarders, as an apology for my lack of posting, and to brighten your day 🐾🥰

We have some excellent news! Miss Molly has returned home after being missing for just over a week! We were pet sitting her before she went on her little adventure, and though we have absolutely no idea where she ended up… we are SO relieved that she is home safe. Please also meet “BunBun”, who is her ‘brother’. We loved taking care of these two little ones. Miss Molly is grounded for the foreseeable future!
Oscar, the first cat to receive bionic limbs… has passed away at the ripe old age of 18! We are very saddened to read of his passing, but know that if it weren’t for the excellent skills of he would not have had such a long life. Fly high Oscar 🌈 🐾 ❤️🩹 his story is well worth a read!

If anyone in the Morley area (LS27) has seen this little sweety, can they let us know please? She has a worried Mumma waiting for her to come home.

The “Paws” behind Tiny Claws
Since a very young age, I have had a huge love of animals both big and small, and of varying species. I have a dream of becoming a feline specialist, working with both domestic and big cats. A lot of experience has been gained over the years in caring for various animals. Anything from cats and dogs, to sheep, goats, chinchillas, rats, chickens, a snake... and an elderly horse (where I learnt very quickly, how heavy a horse is when it decides to use you as a leaning post!)
Home consists of a few members who make up a closely knit unit of fluff...
A dog called Io (named after one of Jupiter’s moons. Don’t ask me why, it’s caused more confusion than sense over the years, including one vet calling her “LOW”, to which I gave up and went with it). Io is a Lab/Spaniel X Sharpei mix breed.
Two cats, Mimi and Charlie... both of which are about as mad as one another, in different ways.
And a lion head rabbit called Pretzel, who hates everyone and everything that involves me, specifically.
There are also two goldfish, Klien and Hai Hai (yes, Hai Hai is named after the rooster in Moana...) but if I try to get them in photo form... you will just be viewing an orange blur.
So there you have it, that is my fur family. Somewhere in the house there is also a fiance... I’m pretty sure he’s not buried under the large amounts of fluff... he has surfaced for a cup of tea recently...
