Female black and white cat left with us today at Halifax.
She is microchipped however the details haven't been updated so we cannot contact her owner.

Do you have spare newspapers?
Due to a leak at our Wakefield surgery all of our newspapers have been damaged, if you have any spare that you could bring in to us we would be very grateful.

UPDATE

Problem solved and we are back open 🎉

Good morning, unfortunately our Halifax surgery is currently closed due to having no heating or water.
We understand this isn't ideal however we cannot work efficiently without running water and our building is just too cold for our colleagues, clients and patients.
We have someone working on the issue and hope to be back open as normal asap.
Wibsey is open as normal and some of our Halifax team are working there today.
We will post an update as soon as we have one, we are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Good morning! Another weather update ❄️

❄️WEATHER UPDATE❄️
Due to the bad weather unfortunately many of our staff are unable to make it in to the practice. All branches are open however, we have minimal staff on site.
If you had an appointment at Halifax today, we will be contacting you to rearrange as unfortunately our vet has been unable to make it in.
Wibsey and Halifax car parks are currently closed due to the icy conditions, parking is available on the main road if you have an appointment.
Wakefield car park is open but please take care as it is quite slushy.

Over-indulgence is commonplace over the holidays, and while we can decide whether we really need a bit more cake, our pets will often accept whatever’s on offer.
However, some foods we have around at Christmas pose significantly more danger than an upset stomach; so it’s important to keep them out of paws reach!

You may receive an email from Petchip.network advising that your pet’s microchip registration has expired and you need to pay for it to be updated – PLEASE IGNORE. THIS IS A SCAM. The email comes with a link taking you to a page showing your pet’s name, microchip number, your contact phone number and looks very convincing. PLEASE IGNORE.

There is a list of approved databases on gov.uk: Get your dog or cat microchipped - GOV.UK

Typically you would only pay a fee or first registering your pet or if you contact the company to update your details .

It is important to keep your pet’s microchip contact details up-to-date including if you move address or change phone number/ email address. Please contact your microchip provider direct to update your details.
