Today marks my 8th birthday, crossing the threshold from grey garçon to my silver back era. This past year hasn’t come without challenges but I forge ahead, characteristically in a brave and spirited, tenacious and resilient fashion. I continue to be inexplicitly fond of travel, blankets, apple and rice. Unparalleled is the affection I give and receive in equal measure, notably through my daily wrestling and cuddle sessions with brother Emmett.

This is Emmett. Today is his inaugural Gotcha Day.
One year ago; to the day, he showed up and life was never quite the same again. Emmett descends from a fancy lineage and whilst he may not be related by blood, we have come to be inseparable in this past year. Shoe-sized, hat-fit when he first joined the family, Emmett stopped growing in January 2024 and stabilised at 3.5kg, precisely half my weight. However, his personality growth experienced a much steeper incline. The development from black furry papaya to inquisitive creature was swift. I am told that I vividly share his penchant for affection and mischief yet am wildly different in many ways. My brother is best described as exuberant and earnest, sweet yet sharp, sensitive but shifty eyed and most of all, playful to the core. To many more adventures together - your loving brother, Wyatt. 🩶
