Best in Show & Blu's Road to Recovery
A huge congratulations to the whippet who claimed the Best in Show title at Crufts 2025 on Sunday!

The winning whippet reminded us of our very own Blu, who’s now back on short lead walks following surgery. While he's not quite ready to race around with his friends just yet, we’re wishing him a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see him back to his playful self soon!

Sending lots of love and gentle belly rubs your way, Blu!

Perfecting Your Dog’s Recall!

A reliable recall is essential for safety and freedom on walks. Here are some top tips:

Start in a quiet, distraction-free space
Use high-value treats (like chicken or cheese!)
Say their name + recall word ("Come!") in a happy voice
Reward immediately when they return
Never punish a slow recall – always make it positive!

Practice often! Even the best-trained dogs need refresher sessions.

Reminder: We’ll be out of office from February 22nd–25th, back on the 26th.

DIY Snuffle Mat for Mental Stimulation!

Want to keep your dog entertained at home? Try making a DIY Snuffle Mat! It’s a great way to encourage slow eating and engage their powerful noses.

How to make one:
1️⃣ Use a rubber mat with holes (or a fleece blanket)
2️⃣ Cut fleece strips & tie them through the holes
3️⃣ Sprinkle kibble or treats inside, and let your dog forage!

It’s fun, rewarding, and great for rainy days indoors. Have you tried it before? Let us know!

❗ Reminder: We’re away February 22nd–25th, back to work on the 26th!

As the sun sets, we’re winding down after another fantastic day of walks, training, and plenty of wagging tails!

Today's adventures included:
One-to-one walks filled with focused training
Small group strolls, where friendships were made and strengthened
Plenty of recall practice, enrichment, and of course... SNACKS!

We love seeing happy, content pups after a fun-filled day.

Reminder: We’re away from February 22nd–25th, back on the 26th! Let us know if you won’t need walks during that time.

Tip Tuesday: The Power of Sniffing!

Did you know that letting your dog sniff on walks is just as important as physical exercise? Their noses are 40 times stronger than ours, and sniffing helps them process the world around them.

Sniffing reduces stress & boosts confidence
It’s mentally enriching – like a puzzle for their nose!
Short walks with lots of sniffing can be more beneficial than long, fast-paced walks

Next time you're out, let your pup stop and smell the roses (or the lampposts)!

Reminder: We are out of office from February 22nd to 25th, back on the 26th! If you have holiday bookings and won’t need walks, please let us know ASAP.

Watch those portions! – Overfeeding can lead to weight gain.

Brain Games for Rainy Days!

Not every day is ideal for long walks, but that doesn’t mean your pup has to be bored! Mental stimulation can be just as tiring as a walk.

Try These Easy Enrichment Ideas at Home:
Hide & Seek – Call your dog from another room & reward them when they find you!
Snuffle Mats – Scatter food or treats inside for them to forage.
Frozen Treats – Stuff a Kong with banana & peanut butter and freeze for a long-lasting snack.
Box Challenge – Place treats in different boxes and let them figure out how to get them!

A happy, tired dog is a good dog!
