💕GROOMING TIPS💕
I’m getting a lot of questions about brushing and how often and what to use to brush your pups.
Lovely little Oscar here is a fabulous example of a knot and Matt free coat. His mummy works hard to keep his coat in tip top condition and it really shows!
If at your grooming appointment we discover severe matting, the best thing for the welfare of your pup is to clip them out, this will of course be discussed with you at the visit.
For small knots and tangles, if your dogs allows me too, we can get these out no problem 😌
I will always be more than happy to advise the best coat care for your pup and have tips for inbetween grooms.
Depending on your breed , regular grooming is important. Most dogs I do are on a 6-8 week schedule, if you need a bath and brush inbetween, I can work out a cost for you.
The best thing to invest in is a good slicker brush and a comb, using these daily can prevent matting.
Use the slicker to brush through the hair and then comb from the root to the ends making sure to get any tangles, especially in high friction areas such as behind ears, armpits and inside the legs.
If you need any help or are struggling in between grooms, please message me for advice and I’ll be more then happy to pop in and help 💕😌
