Another goodbye this week 😢 Ralph is moving away from Dundee for a while so had her last walk with her friends. It’s been a pleasure, Ralph ❤️

As the festive season approaches, just letting my lovely customers know that I will be off for two weeks over the holidays, finishing walks on Friday 20th December and resuming on Monday 6th January.
And here’s a photo of Ailsa looking stunning as always. Love this photo, it actually looks like a painting 🐶♥️

Another sad goodbye this week 😭 Chip has retired from group walks at the grand old age of 14. His little legs couldn’t keep up any longer. I’m sure going to miss him, he was the most easy going fella out of all the dogs I’ve walked. Enjoy the rest and relaxation Chip, you deserve it ♥️

A very emotional day today 😢 Paddy, one of my first doggy customers and the one that has been with me the longest, had his last walk with us. As much as he loves his walks, he’s been struggling to keep up and they’ve become too much for him. So today he had a final stroll in the countryside with his doggy friends, plenty of treats, cuddles, rolling around and sniffing (all his favourite things).
Take it easy, big Paddy. We’re all going to miss you so very much 💙

RIP Dundee Pet Care van 😢. You were a young 6-year-old when I found you and I was an old X-ray nurse (your number plate XRN was a sign you were the one for me 😉) soon to embark on my self-employed adventure. You did your duty well, putting up with my singing, less than exemplary parking and quite a few unspeakable explosions from furry passengers 💩. I tried to save you after numerous breakdowns and repairs but, alas, your broken body and struggling engine could carry on no more.
Goodbye, oh rusty one. Drive high over the rainbow road bridge 🚐 🌈

I suppose I’d better get van shopping then!

P.S. Dear Customers, walks will continue as normal with the family cars meantime until DPC Van #2 arrives.

A Little About Myself

Since I was young, I’ve always loved animals, both learning about and taking care of them. Growing up, I was lucky enough to have all sorts of pets; cats, hamsters, gerbils, rats, newts, even a ferret. What I really wanted though was a dog but I was never allowed one so as soon as I bought my first house my first dog followed quickly thereafter, a rescued greyhound called Spice. Another greyhound, Zak, came along a few years later. He was perilously close to being euthanised because a racing injury meant his racing, and therefore money-making, days were over. Sadly, Spice and Zak are away chasing rabbits somewhere in doggie heaven but now I have a yellow Labrador called Bonnie and a cat called Smudge; both unwanted by their owners and both now safe in their forever loving home with me.

After being a nurse for 18 years I decided a change of career was long overdue and, rather than caring for people, I set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition; working with and looking after animals. Pets bring such happiness and, in my opinion, really are part of the family. Life just wouldn’t be as much fun without them. I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.

Natalie.
