CURRENTLY ON HOLD

Poor Louie isn't having much luck, he's had a few reserves and meetings and nothing has come of any, not to any fault of his.

He really is a lovely boy and should be in a home of his own now, not sat in kennels.

Louie is a 2 year old Boston Terrier.

We initially thought being young Louie would need quite an active home but he would be happy and content with a couple of 20/30 minute walks a day.
Out on walks Louie walks well in a harness and hasn't been reactive to anything but he doesn't like dogs coming up and getting in his face (he walks in group walks without issue)

Louie has tested well with cats so could live with a confident cat but would like to be the only dog in the home.

Once settled in the home Louie can be left for sensible periods and has been used to sleeping downstairs. He is fully toilet trained and is good when travelling.

Introductions can be done with children 5 years +

Wow. With over a month to go to the big day our chief dogsbody Chris and his pal Shona have hit their fundraising target. Huge thanks from both of them to everybody for their kind donations. This generosity will be a big help to Pennine Mencap in carrying out their fantastic work within the Oldham community.

The 10K is taking place on 26 May and Chris and Shona will be continuing their training between now and then in Alexandra Park, Oldham. Give them a wave if you see them.

Pet nutrition is not an exact science. As with us humans, no two pets are the same and there are a whole series of factors that will influence what the best food for them might be at any stage during their life - age, size, breed, gender, metabolic rate, levels of activity, allergies, digestive sensitivities, pregnancy, lactation, illness, injury, personal taste and more.

Here at Husse Oldham we pride ourselves on working in partnership with pet owners, firstly to find the best food for their furry friends at a given moment in time and then to keep this under review with a view to making any changes that might be required during the various stages of their pet’s life.

We use a combination of samples and trial packs to explore a range of options and we never get to full order stage until everyone is happy we have found the right solution together. If we don’t get to that stage then that’s fine with us - we never put anyone under pressure to place an order that they are not 100% comfortable with.

We are super excited to have welcomed five beautiful cats into the Husse Oldham family over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The exceptionally cute young man waving hello is our new friend Ziggy, who we met for the first time on Saturday. (Full name Ziggy Stardust - he comes from a music loving family.) He is enjoying trying our Kattunge kitten kibble, our Kycklingfile snacks and - in particular we are told - our Feather Wand activity toy. It was great to meet you Ziggy. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

The gorgeous gang in the other photos is made up of Jackson, Jethro, Frank and Luca. They are currently working their way through a range of our wet foods and treats. Hope you enjoy them gang and hope to see you all soon.

A good day for us here at Husse Oldham. Chief dogsbody Chris and his pal Shona did a training session for the 10K they are doing in May in support of Pennine Mencap. (See the link to our fundraising page in the comments if you would like to sponsor us - but no pressure.) Then there was a trip to see our good friend Franklin and top him up with fresh supplies of Husse Digest before he goes on holiday this week. And then it was lovely to see Gia and her family when we went round with a delivery of our Senior food, which she is thriving on. Hope everyone has had a great Easter Sunday.

This is our chief dogsbody (no pun intended) Chris with his good friend Shona. This May they will be doing the Manchester 10K together in order to raise funds for Pennine Mencap, a wonderful local charity that is very close to both Chris and Shona’s hearts.

Chris will also be taking part wearing his Husse sponsored Mental Health Football training shirt in order to highlight the fantastic work that this charity does in the local community.

Training started this week and we will be providing regular updates on how Shona and Chris are getting on over the coming weeks, together with details of their fundraising page once it has been set up.
