We would like to say a huge Thank You to the young swimmers and everyone else involved in the JKM Swimschool Swimathon. We were thrilled to be presented with a cheque last night for £1200. To say it was a shock is putting it mildly.

We were honoured to be part of this event at the House of Parliament.
We were at Parliament three times this week including a fantastic event on Tuesday with our friends ADI - Assistance Dogs International, celebrating the life changing work of assistance dogs. We had a wonderful time sharing and listening to the experiences and stories of assistance dog users, as well as meeting MPs. A huge thank you to all who came.
Please note, phone calls, emails and messages will not be replied to until Tuesday 14th May (at the earliest). This is due to the CEO (who answers most phone calls and emails) being at a family funeral, and then 2 days later, her daughter (who mostly runs the social media) is getting married.

Huge thank you to the Curzon Club and all their customers for the donation of £700 collected throughout the year, another £300 from Breaston Cycling Club, and another £75 collected tonight. We really appreciate all the support we get from you.
On my home from a lovely morning at Newcastle International Airport with 3 Darwin Dogs. We were treated to a tour round the airport and the dogs behaved brilliantly. More photos to follow.
It is with great sadness that we must share that one of our clients, Sarah Hendy , passed away on Friday. Many of you will be familiar with Sarah, and her Labrador Cheese, from their page Cheesy Diary.
Sarah and Cheese were one of our original partnerships, the 3rd that we qualified, back in 2016. They were a wonderful partnership, a great display of how an assistance dog can change someone's life, always spreading the word about Darwin's and fundraising for us. Cheese was beginning to wind down his duties and teaching his little brother, Gully, to take over from him.
Sarah had been battling Leukaemia for a few years. Unfortunately, catching Covid was a step too far for her body and she passed away peacefully on Friday 21st July, surrounded by family.
Sarah will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. I know you will all join us in sending our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
We hope you all enjoyed watching the coronation this past weekend. Whilst we had to settle for watching it on the sofa, Kew, the Cocker Spaniel, had a slightly different view. From inside Westminster Abbey!! He was the only assistance dog in attendance, and his mum says he was treated so well by everyone there. "I couldn't have done it without him. He didn't put a paw wrong all day." Well done Kew!

Exciting news! We are pleased to announce that we are now fully accredited members of Assistance Dogs International (ADI). We have been working hard behind the scenes, with lots of paperwork and assessment days, and are now 1 of only 155 charities and not for profit organisations around the world that are full members! This includes membership to Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK), and Assistance Dogs Europe (ADEu).
