CROSSPOSTING - Please cross post our pound dogs to other helpers and Rescues on FB and get the word out.
-BECOME A FOSTERER - Fostering is a VITAL link in the chain. By fostering a dog for a Rescue you are freeing up the space for them to take in another urgent dog from the pound and save his/her life.
-TRANSPORT - We are always looking for help with Transport for the dogs. Please PM us if you can offer transport in your area.
-FUNDING - If you would like to help but cannot on a practical level you could always donate every penny counts towards our dogs. We always need help with fuel costs for transport runs, Van hire- for the times we are lucky enough to get several dogs out of the pound at once and also for the occasions that we are able to get the dogs into Emergency Boarding Kennels whilst their Rescue space is pending. All the Rescues we use are official Organizations and have the facility for accepting donations. They can not always afford to help us with fuel costs to get the dogs to them and in cases like this we pay for this ourselves. As you can see, we move anywhere up to 20 dogs a month and this can get very costly transport wise so any help would be very much appreciated. It’s not the news we wanted for poor TEDDY 💔😓🐻
His scan today showed abnormalities with his prostate, and it’s very likely it is cancer 💔 Nothing can be done for Teddy other than starting palliative care 💔🐻
He’s back in kennels tonight and is so unhappy … we simply cannot let him spend any longer in a kennel as he may only have months left 💔
SO… we need to find Teddy that special someone who will ‘forever foster’ him for the time he has left and give him all the love that he deserves ❤️🐻❤️
Teddy needs that very special, selfless person who wants to give a home to that dog most in need - someone who can care for him right until the end, despite their own heartache. We know this is a huge ask, but we have to try. We know that person is out there - they HAVE to be. It's the least Teddy deserves after being thrown out right at the end of his life 😔
Teddy is THE most lovely boy who loves everyone he meets (even the vet 😅) ❤️🐻 he can be strong on lead at times (in no way unmanageable, but would need someone who is strong enough to hold him if he pulls)… and due to his health issues, he is partially incontinent and sometimes wees involuntarily. We can provide belly bands for him, dog nappies, puppy pads etc, but he needs someone who understands that this isn’t his fault and can clean up any accidents ❤️🐻❤️
All costs (vet bills, food, toys etc etc) will be covered by HYPS for Teddy for the rest of his life… we just need to find him someone special who can truly save him in his time of need ❤️🐻❤️

LATEST PLANNING APPLICATION TO EXPAND GREYHOUND RACING IN WALES REFUSED
The latest planning application to intensify greyhound racing at Valley track in Ystrad Mynach, the last remaining greyhound racing track in Wales, has been refused by Caerphilly County Borough Council.
An earlier application to build an extension of the club house was refused in November 2022. The application to build 200 kennels for racing dogs was refused last week on the following grounds:
❌ Absence of Flood Consequences Assessment
❌ Absence of adequate Transport Statement
❌ Absence of adequate off-street parking facilities
The proposed plans to licence Valley track as a Greyhound Board of Great Britain track will lead to even more injuries and deaths for racing greyhounds in Wales. Racing will be greatly intensified, with plans to increase racing from one night to four days/nights in order to satisfy lucrative live-stream racing contracts.
The campaign in Wales, a collaborative campaign between Hope Rescue, Greyhound Rescue Wales, RSPCA (England & Wales), Dogs Trust and Blue Cross is seeking a phased end to greyhound racing in Wales. The campaign was boosted last week when the Minister responsible for animal welfare confirmed that there would be a debate on the Petitions Committee report which recommended a ban on greyhound racing, followed by a public consultation.

Dear Supporters....sorry we've been a bit quiet on here the team have had some personal and health issues going on.
We are still quietly working in the background, and although we haven't taken any dogs in for a while we are still helping in different ways.
Rescue isn't always about taking dogs in and rehoming them!
Sometimes it's about helping people keep their pets and giving them the tools they need to manage their situation.
Sometimes it's helping dogs go to a rescue more suited to them.
We don't have a specific base, we don't have kennels and we have the very bare minimum of trust worthy fosters.
We do however still have dogs in long term foster who need your help 🙏
The dogs in long term foster are there because they have health conditions that need continued medication that we pay for.
However, over the last year we've lost our funding from Pets at Home, and this was a massive chunk of our budget used to pay for medication and food for the long term foster dogs!
So this is basically a plea for help 🙏
We desperately need funds and fundraisers for us to be able to continue.

Milo is ready to move on to a Foster or forever home. He is a SBT cross and 5 nearly 6 months old. There is very little history know on milo but his initial assessment has proved positive. Milo is a very sweet boy who is desperate to learn and please. His toilet training has improved so much in the last couple of weeks. He does have separation anxiety so would need someone home most of the time who is prepared to work with him. Milo is scared by other dogs so a pet free home is a must at the moment but we would actively encourage continued training and socialisation

"don't come when they call",
we "bark when they leave us",
climb over the wall.
We should have been neutered,
we should have been spayed,
now we suffer the consequence
of the errors THEY made.
If only they'd trained us,
if only we knew...
we'd have done what they asked us
and worshiped them, too.
We were left in the backyard,
or worse -let to roam-
now we're tired and lonely
and out of a home.
They dropped us off here
and they kissed us good-bye...

So now here we are,
all confused and alone...
in a shelter with others,
who long for a home.
The kind workers come through
with a meal and a pat,
with so many to care for,
they can't stay to chat,
They move to the next kennel,
giving each of us cheer...
we know that they wonder
how long we'll be here.
We lay down to sleep
and sweet dreams fill our heads..
of a home filled with love
and our own cozy beds.
Then we wake to see sad eyes,
brimming with tears --
our friends filled with emptiness,
worry, and fear.
