As most of you know my trusty zafira finally expired last week, very luckily my lovely sis has let me use her Corsa for work, which is a big difference size wise to what my dog walking dogs are used to. I took a small amount of time getting them accustomed to the new layout for the week and they have all settled very quickly and the walks have run smoothly, the benefit of taking some time to let the dogs have a positive starting experience with things, pays off heavily in the long run. We do this with everything here, even if some dogs take longer than others, we do it at their pace, this pace always increases quickly every time we do something new using this method as they know they will be listened to, they are in control, they will not be rushed into anything and everything will be as positive as possible, making the next 'scary' experience a relatively neutral thing that the dogs are quick to recover from, thus leading to a confident dog 🩷

I can't cope with these two snuggle buddies 😍🥰

Just a little update on Gracie's cushings as some people were following along for that. We have been trying a Chinese medicine blend which did help a bit but she is still having symptoms so we have gone back and tweaked this a bit to see how it goes over the next month where we'll evaluate it again, I'm hopeful we are well on our way to getting her comfortable 🤞🏻🩷

While I was on holiday I got the saddest news that our lovely Laila had passed away 💔😓

Although she was young, Laila has unfortunately had some health problems over the last couple of years. I had been walking Laila for 3 years along with the help of towards the end so I have got tons of videos and pics of her, it was so hard to choose just 10 (even though most of them she is barking in 😅)

Laila was such a character that you would never forget, she sure had a strong voice and was never afraid to let you know how she felt. She was so sweet to other dogs and people and loved running around and playing with her friends. She loved playing with her sister Luna the black lab the most. She will surely be missed and there is now a Laila shaped hole in the world. The hardest part of this job is saying goodbye. Rest in peace lovely girl 🩷🩷🐾

🦈PUPPY BITING 🦈 Puppies bite to explore the world, communicate in a way they know how and to relieve teething pain. As a dog trainer, my top tips for puppy biting are: 1. Give your puppy natural, long-lasting chews 2. Make sure your puppy gets between 16-20hrs sleep everyday 3. Meet all your puppy's needs 4. Make sure your puppy is on a non-processed, natural diet 5. Rami, an 11 month old Working Cocker Spaniel, is such a sweet boy but as you can see he tends to pull on the lead quite a lead, which isn’t comfortable for either of us! 😬 Me & Rami have done a lot of relationship building as well as practicing calm in exciting environments which should help build the value of being by my side to Rami, instead of the environment being more valuable. 🐕🏃🚲🚗 We have also done a few sessions of what I like to call ‘drunk walking’, also known as 'figure of 8'. This entails switching direction every time your dog gets to the end of the lead, which is communicating to Rami that lead pressure means that he is now too far away from his handler &needs to check back in with them rather than pulling as hard as he can to get to what he wants. I am then rewarding Rami for coming back to being by my side to build value in that position, as well as rewarding when Rami chooses to disengage from anything exciting in the distance.🍬 I’d like to point out that we kept distractions to a very minimal at this stage, we can build the intensity of distractions later as so, to not overwhelm Rami and push him past the threshold of being able to make the correct decisions. Notice that I am not yanking or pulling hard on the lead, only a tiny amount of pressure is used here, the emphasis is on me switching direction and keeping the value by my side, not to cause discomfort We have done a few sessions together now and have made great progress, building in distractions slowly. Our Story

Life can be very busy, that's where we step in! Even the busiest of owners still want to spoil their four-legged friends. We offer a set of premium pet services covering SE18 and the surrounding areas. Your pet will be treated like our own with love and cuddles and lots of exercise. Owners will always be informed and communicated with, whether its for a week's stay or a simple visit. Pet's and Owners' needs come first and we operate on one simple goal: to provide a dependable service in which every single pet will love.

I started dog walking whilst at university in my spare time as a means of earning money as well as spending time with dogs whilst missing my own dog, Grace, who lived at home at the time, over an hour away. My love for animals started very young, we have rescued 3 cats over the years, Willow, Will and Otis, who all fitted in as part of the family. Grace, my staffordshire bull terrier, then came along as a present on my 13th birthday (best present ever!!!) and she has provided hugs and kisses ever since. She is now 12 years old and still acts like a puppy and will be the main star of the show at Morgan’s Muddy Mutts. Grace is a very calm dog who’s energy can be very positive for nervous or shy dogs to bring them out of their shells and ensure that they have the most fun. We now have two new cats, Oreo and Shadow, who have filled a hole in our‘s and Grace’s hearts after Otis sadly left us in 2019. I have also been horse riding from a very young age and have my own pony, Lily. All of my animals love to get out in the great outdoors and are not afraid to get muddy, maximum mud means maximum fun! Much to my mum’s delight when it comes to bath time.

My early love of animals and ongoing experience in caring for them will ensure that the passion and care goes into providing services for all of the pets that come to Morgan’s Muddy Mutts is second to none and will be treated as my own. You can be sure that, when you come home from work or a big holiday and have used our services, your pet will be content and looked after, leaving you with one less thing to worry about. I am also DBS checked, fully insured and first aid trained to give you extra piece of mind.
