I’m a busy bee!
I’ve been making honey and oatmeal soaps for the Xmas gift boxes put together by the Dorset Hive. I’ve used their own honey and of course my own milk.

I am reminded every evening that I must provide some warm goatsmilk - as if I’d forget!
The goats have taken the change in weather quite seriously and dropped their yield- they are in winter mode!
It’s going to be difficult spreading it around, but the dogs won’t go without!

It’s been a spiffing day at Dorset Food & Arts Festival. I went to tell the goats how well the soaps sold but the question on their lips was
“Hope you won’t be late doing our supper?!?”
“Course not, I’ll crack on straight away..”

New steel toe cap boots. Essential for someone always getting her toes in the goats way, especially when they jump off the milking stand ! 🙄

Homemade soft goats cheese with Greek olive oil and mint- delicious!
Our milk also makes great Greek yoghurt and kefir. Try making some- it’s not difficult!

Iris knocked the scab off the disbudding so I sprayed to dry it up quickly. She moved when she heard the spray and now she looks like Braveheart! 🙄
