👋🏻 Hello everyone! It absolutely breaks my heart to announce the closure of Bug Box. 5 whole years of business will come to an end at the end of this month. This is simply due to other business ventures and a lot of other outside commitment which has heavily impacted on the amount of free time I have to operate the business, and it’s simply not fair and doesn’t match our brand by giving just 10% effort in the business, when you all deserve a million per cent!

It’s been an absolute journey I must say! And it’s been an absolute pleasure meeting each and every single one of you!! From customers to now friends and family it’s been such a blessing ❤️ All live-food subscriptions etc will still run for 2 weeks extra to give you extra time to find a new supplier!

Who knows what the future will hold, but for now it’s not a goodbye it’s a see you later!!

We have a ton of new and used stock we will be selling off for cheap! Please keep and eye out on my socials to see what’s up for grabs! If you are interested in anything specific please message us!

It comes with sad news hearing the news of the passing of a good friend of ours and many others in our hobby, André Leetz 😭 he was a fantastic guy which did wonders for our hobby! RIP André ❤️

We are currently at the final stages of our big business update. Thank you so much to everyone for your patience this last month while we have been putting plans into place.

We have refreshed our fulfilment structure and we now have Conner working full-time every Monday, Wednesday & Friday to ensure all orders leave quickly and efficiently. This will also mean our 3 day processing time will soon no longer exist.

Our live-food will now leave our suppliers every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Also she dry-stock will be leaving our suppliers during this time too.

All sling orders will come with a free mini fruit fly culture soon. (T&C apply - 1 per order) More info will come soon when we launch this promo.

Our Bug Box Loyalty scheme has had an update with even more points to gain! There's over 40,000 points given out so far! For more info log into our website and click the rewards tab.

Website: The website will be having a massive inventory update over the weekend and a lot of new stock will be added and we will be discontinuing a lot of products to make space for some brilliant new ones! We will also update you here when this happens.

We have now launched a partnership with both Royal Mail and Everi for our couriers. We have searched for the best service with the lowest carbon footprint to match our eco vibesss!

We are also launching the monthly Bug Box Newsletter where it will have all the updates, gossip, stock and more!

New shipping/ Business updates:

We have finally increased our fulfilment team and would love to welcome Conner on board to the Bug Box team! Conner will ensure all your orders leave the company on our turn around dates and pack every single one of them with love, care and attention! (We have new equipment arriving in the next few weeks, so please bare with us during this expansion and growth)

We now ship ordered every:
- Monday 🙌🏼
- Wednesday 🙌🏼
- Friday 🙌🏼

Our live-food will continue to be shipped from our suppliers Monday to Friday.

All orders that are able to be fulfilled and are in to us by 8:30 in the morning on any of the days above will also leave the same day! 🐛

Our beautiful Stegodyphus Dumicola are now listed on the website however there are very few left available!

These are a beautiful species of velvet spider from South Africa! They can also live communally so you can create the perfect communal velvet set-up!

We have had so many beautiful Stegodyphus Dumicola hatch out from our nests! 😍

Many have now grown over 0.5cm and some almost 1cm and they are now on the website and on our app!!! 😍

These type of velvet spiders are social spiders too 😱 They love to live in large communal nests in the wild. (We have a bulk option too if you are looking to buy a few to keep them communally) trade available too!

📦 We are improving our fulfilment area of the business and it’s becoming much easier with the new systems! 🎉

From next week onwards we are looking to improve:
- Processing time to be lower than 3 working days.
- Working closely with our suppliers to ensure the live-food is delivered quickly & efficiently within the allocated time slots
- More variety of popular stock to be held at our warehouse (to avoid delays from it being shipped from the suppliers)
- Work on a fast tracked service
