NEW DATES FOR OFQUAL ACCREDITED FACILITATOR TRAINING PROGRAMMES.

Eighteen years ago I was witness to a heartfelt connection between a horse and a young boy. This lead me on the path that changed my life forever.

Having researched, explored, studied and practised I qualified as an equine facilitator. I’ve never looked back.

I am inspired, humbled and grateful for every day I spend with the horses. Their generosity of being, their openness of spirit and their honest hearts leave me wondering how it took me so long to open my eyes to their majesty.

If you would like to learn more and are interested in qualifying in EFL we have another OCNLR, Ofqual accredited Level 3 course starting 15th December and we have two places available on the level 4 in February 2024.

Comment below or get in touch via the contact page on the website for more information or to book an Intro morning.

I’ve just spent an incredible morning at a yard treating 3 beautiful horses. Each horse compleeeeeetly different to the next and they all soaked up the loving energy being sent to them. There were stretches and yawns, releases and lots of deep processing, so incredible to witness! I forgot to take pics, I was so happy to be doing what my heart loves most 💝

If your yard would like me to come along for the day, please get in touch. It’s just £20 per horse for group bookings 🙂

Do you know of any yards who would be interested in having me along for a day and offering discounted reiki sessions?

STICKY WEED....SHOULD OUR HORSES EAT IT?
Sticky W**d for Horses, also known as Sticky W***y, Clivers, Goose Grass or Cleavers (Galium aparine). This is a very useful 'w**d' and most horses love the taste.
Sticky w**d supports the lymphatic system and is a diuretic. This means that it is particularly good for flushing out swellings and inflammation.
Cleavers are a great 'tonic' herb and can benefit horses with filled puffy legs, horses on box rest and as a Spring tonic ❤

If you have a friend that can't identify what this is, get rid of them. You don't need that type of person in your life. 😃😃

Recent studies conducted by the Institute of Heart-Math provide a clue to explain the two-way ′′ healing ′′ that occurs when we're close to horses. According to researchers, the heart has an electromagnetic field larger than the brain: a magnetometer can measure the energy field of the heart that radiates from 2.4 meters to 3 meters around the human body. While this is certainly significant, perhaps more impressive than the electromagnetic field projected by the heart of a horse is five times larger than that of a human being (imagine an electromagnetic sphere around the horse) and it can influence straight into our own heart rate.

Horses are also likely to have what science has identified as a ′′ coherent ′′ heart rate (heart rate pattern) that explains why we can ′′ feel better ′′ when we're close to them. Studies have found a coherent heart pattern or HRV to be a solid measure of well-being and consistent with emotional states of calm and joy-that is, we exhibit such patterns when we feel positive emotions.
A coherent heart pattern is indicative of a system that can recover and adapt to stressful situations very efficiently. Many times, we just need to be in the presence of horses to feel a sense of well-being and peace. In fact, research shows that people experience many physiological benefits by interacting with horses, including lower blood pressure and heart rate, higher beta-endorphins (neurotransmitters acting as pain suppressors), decreased stress levels, decreased feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety, better social working; and greater feelings of empowerment, confidence, patience and self-efficacy.~

Equine Reiki

I’m Vikki Seymour and reiki for horses is my passion. After many years of working with horses and establishing a successful human massage and reiki business I decided to merge my love for both and so, in the summer of 2018, Equine Reiki in Dorset was born.

What is Equine Reiki?

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive therapy that is performed without pressure or manipulation. Practitioners connect with the universal healing energy and channel it through their hands, to restore positive energy flow into the animal’s body, correcting imbalances. This healing system is safe and will never harm an animal. If a horse has experienced abuse or neglect, for example, Reiki can help to release emotional wounds. It is extremely useful in conjunction with traditional therapies and veterinary care. It can help horses recover faster, saving owners anxiety and cost. It can also be useful in treating travel stress and digestive problems, as well as settling mares who are new mothers and can also beneficial as a horse approaches the end of its life, providing comfort to a beloved animal and its owners too. It is growing in popularity as a healing tool as it can benefit horses on all levels, physically, emotionally and mentally.

I look forward to meeting you and treating your horses very soon.
