17 year old Moustachio came into my garden studio for a full groom 💜

He had a few small ad hoc mats on his lower back, flanks & hips (lack of mobility as cats age), so I quickly removed these and also gave him an eye and ear clean, a claw clip, brush & comb through and a really good de-shed to thin out his thick coat.

He was a super good boy and enjoyed a couple of lick-e-lix as a reward! 🥰

British Longhair Posey 🩷

Being groomed is not her favourite activity and she likes to dart off at any opportunity when she thinks I'm not looking! 😆 Although she is very good natured, to be fair 😻

Posey has a light all over trim, a hygiene trim and removal of any odd mats that are starting to form.

Now looking very neat & pretty! 💛

Well...I got a huge surprise when I visited Persian Moggy for his groom - 5 week old kittens!! (An oops litter) 🥰🩷

Moggy had gone AWOL when I first arrived, so I sat and played with them for a while until he re-appeared for his brunch 😆

Absolutely love my visits here 💞

Pics are Moggy (Persian), mum Fudge (tortie) and tabby kittens. So scrummy! 😸🤗

I was contacted recently about a welfare groom for a cat living with a lady with learning difficulties. Pretty Persian Mimi had become pelted, with the affected fur running from the back of her head all the way down to her tail.

During the first visit I managed to remove most of it, but towards the end Mimi did become a little fed up & stressed, so I decided to split it into two appointments and returned a week later to finish her. All in all, she was pretty tolerant, bless her.

I'll be returning in July to check on her progress and hopefully at regular intervals after that to keep her coat in good condition.

Gorgeous big boy Chester is all ready for his groom to begin! 😆🤣

Chester is a British Shorthair and is currently un-neutered due to health reasons (I just love his big face 🩷).

I actually come to visit his British Longhair brother & sister, but he always wants to get in on the act 😹 When he's not lying on my mat, he can usually be found digging through my grooming bag for catnip & toys. I'm a little bit in love with this affectionate & confident kitty cat 😻❤️

Super lovely Persian boy Brutus after his bath, having a blow dry 🥰💜🩷

I don't get to do many baths, but it's amazing the difference it can make to a cats coat. The cleaning process really brings out the patterns and makes the colours more vibrant too.

You wouldn't think cats can get that dirty, but they really can do - rolling around in your flower beds can make them really dusty! 😻👌

Handsome tabby & white boy Marv has a regular groom with me every 8 weeks.

Marv has an eye and ear clean, a claw clip, hygiene trim and a thorough brush and comb through. I think he went through every single toy in my bag and had a great time playing with them all! 😆

Pretty little Ragdoll Bonnie had two matching large mats on her shoulders which needed to be removed and also had a hygiene trim.

She was super fidgety, so lots of little breaks were given; she was also very interested in my cat nip toys and enjoyed a good play with them!

Norwegian Forest Cat Ahri had developed a few ad hoc mats in her thick coat. Ahri gets stressed quite easily and is very big and strong, so has lots of little breaks.

Once the mats had all been removed, she also had a quick hygiene trim to help keep her feeling fresh.

💜 Monty 💜

Gorgeous Persian boy Monty had some very tight & hard matting, mostly on his hips, but also around his shoulder area.

Monty has a low tolerance level for grooming/clipping and becomes very fidgety after a while, so I decided to break the work down over two sessions.

He will be patchy for a while, but definitely a lot more comfortable 😻❤️

💜 Ginger 💜

Here he is after his regular de-shed groom, loving the outdoor life! He's recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which can make their fur come out quite easily, so I'm careful not to be too heavy handed with my brushes 😁🙌

💜 Manouche & Musette 💜

Maine C**ns Manouche & Musette have become recent regular furry customers.

Manouche doesn't enjoy the grooming process; she finds it quite stressful so has a little light sedation. Musette can be a bit of a wriggle, but is confident, friendly & playful!

Both girls have an eye and ear clean, claw clip, hygiene trim and a good brush and comb through. Their mummy does a super job in between grooms and Manouche even allows her to brush her teeth!

Such beautiful girls! 🥰🩷

Bellatrix is a year old Maine C**n, who was in need of a hygiene trim recently.

She was very shy at our first appointment and didn't interact with me much (despite some coaxing), but with her mummy cuddling her, I was able to complete the trim.

Afterwards she was happy to accept some treats and hopped up onto her tower, where she was able to fully survey her kingdom! 😆

Beautiful Persian Portia had become pretty matted all underneath on her chest, tummy, groin and hip areas.

Portia's a very friendly girl, but found the initial session a bit stressful after a while, so I decided to split the work over 2 sessions which worked well.

💜 Oberon and Hamlet 💜
Unbelievably cute! 😆

I just had to put this on here from a visit yesterday. Hamlet, the black domestic short hair cat was already snoozing on the sofa when I arrived to groom Oberon (the Maine C**n). He stirred briefly, but was NOT going to move - despite being squashed, having an enormous paw pushed into his throat and nearly suffocating and being hit with Oberons massive and very heavy tail 😹 😹

Oberon's coat is quite patchy here, where I have removed some knots and small mats and there is some fur growing back from my last visit. His mummy does an incredible job with him and it's a real commitment, but he still needs a little extra help sometimes 🩷

I love my visits here and these two really brightened up my afternoon. Such gorgeous boys! 🥰🩵

I first met beautiful Siberian Mishka back at the end of last summer, when I was contacted to trim his long fur down. After that I was asked for more information about the ultrasonic teeth cleaning maintenance that I carry out, as Mishka has a history of gingivitis and dental disease.

When I first looked at his teeth, I could clearly see the gingivitis, some teeth that were missing and also that a couple of the molars at the back of his mouth were presenting with hardened tartar. I advised his owner to pop him along to his vets for a dental check, where they agreed with my opinion and he was given a scale & polish. Now that they are lovely & clean, we are maintaining them with regular tooth brushing sessions - and although Mishka is slightly tense during these, he relaxes well with his owner nearby to support him.

What a gorgeous boy! 😻🩵💙

Gorgeous little Mossie Trotter is a senior kittizen who had become matted all around her back end 🩷

Mossie was suspicious of what I was doing from the start 😆 and it wasn't long before the hissing started and she began to seem quite stressed, bless her. We decided to split the work down into two visits and to see if we might be able to get her a light sedative from the vet to help her.

Happily, the second visit went more smoothly, and all the matting was finally removed. Mossie even had a little sniff in my bag after I had finished.

What a cute little face 😻🐾

😻 Tiggy 😻 I see feisty Maine Coon Tiggy two or three times a year. She has a claw clip with me, hygiene trim, de-mat and de-shed. I usually spend about an hour and a half working on her and she has such a pretty coat - very gingery! 🧡 She looked much better when I had finished with her - unfortunately, I don't think she agreed! 😆 Bless her 😸🩷

I was called out to see gorgeous lovebug Leo again, as he had developed some mats since his last groom. Some unforeseen family difficulties had meant that they had gone undetected for a little bit. Leo's mats were all down his tummy and around his back legs, so I clipped it all off and then it was time for a claw clip, eye and ear clean and a good brush and comb out. Leo was a little less tolerant this time, but with some distraction with a catnip toy, I managed to get him finished 👌🐾 Here he is having a play with it mid-groom. Such a beautiful boy! 🥰

I met cute little Persian boy Fez a couple of weeks ago (still a bit behind with posting these! 🙈😹). Fez was booked in for a bath and blow dry, so I started off with bathing him first and used I Heart Pet Head de-shedding shampoo, which smells sooo good! After two shampoos, I popped him in a crate to blow dry and while I was waiting, gave him an eye and ear clean and a claw clip. Cat fur takes a very long time to dry (especially long & thick Persian fur), but Fez was so good for me as you can see in the video clip below 👇 And he fluffed up really nicely once he was properly dry! 💕💕 Such a sweet boy 🐾
