Care for long-term ill and elderly cats - we're always looking for homes for these, but this is a difficult task, and in the meantime th
ey need to be looked after and given their medication when necessary. Please be aware that all our cats that are available for adoption will be posted on our page for the foreseeable future as our website is not functioning properly.
Our adoption fees will be increasing with immediate effect, this is due to increased vet costs.
Kittens up to 6months old will be £120 per kitten and cats over six months of age will be £90 per cat.
Just to understand this by no way covers our costs of general and veterinary care or food.
Meet Tinsel a lovely little lady of about 6 years old with beautiful tabby and white markings and a very placid temperament. She enjoys a lot of fuss and attention and since being with her fosterer has learnt what toys are for. When she feels it’s time to play she will carry one in and drop it at your feet, a clear message given! Tinsel is litter trained but would appreciate an outdoor area to explore. She would be suitable for a home with children or older people, other placid cats but unknown with dogs. She is up to date with flea and worm treatments, neutered and microchipped and comes with 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance.

Meet Wesley. Wesley is a six months old male kitten, health checked, chipped, neutered, first vacs.
Wesley is a tall cat who came into our care as a stray. He is one of the friendliest most adaptable cats we have seen for a long time. He likes to eat, he likes to play and he loves to watch the TV. He will need his own seat!
He is fully litter trained with a healthy appetite.
Wesley needs a lot of entertainment and we feel that he would thrive in a family home where children would take the time to play with him. He would love exploring a secure garden.

Meet Haru,
Haru is 8-10 months old, initially was very shy and nervous when he joined us, but while he's been here his character has blossomed to an inquisitive, loving, cheeky, playful little boy, although still a little jumpy at loud noises. He's perfectly happy as an indoor cat and he's looking for a home that could give him lots of fun and loves.
We know he finds it difficult around very young children so would suit a home with older children. We do not think he would cope well in a home with other pets as he is quite timid.

These two are a bonded pair or twelve week old kittens. Peaches and Petal are the last two kittens to be adopted from a litter of five kittens. Although they are twelve weeks old they are small kittens, but full of life and fun. They enjoy playing together, endless games of tag with no rules, but they also love being with people and will follow you around like puppies. Meet Millie,
Millie is a sweet and gentle little cat lady who has spent all her 5 years of life with a single elderly human lady. She has therefore taken on the attributes of that owner, in that she is calm and quiet, but is proving to be very timid in a new foster environment. She is becoming more confident after a week of fostering, and she clearly enjoys human company with lots of head rubs and fuss which brings on very loud and fast purring! She has mostly eaten dry food in the past, and was very fussy about wet, but I have recently found a brand she likes and that is going down well. She is very clean and tidy in her litter tray, and even though she had spent a lot of time outside in the past, she is not craving to to get out whilst in foster. It is not known if she would take well to children, but a quiet and gentle child might be accepted in time.
In short, Millie is a very sweet, well behaved, and affectionate little lady who would best be suited to a singular quiet household, ideally with outside access.

Meet Iggy.
Iggy is a soft and cuddly 8 year old male cat with a lovely temperament. He's settled very well with his fosterers family and is very good with children. He is loving, docile and loves to be given lots of attention. He's a very talkative cat and won't hesitate to let you know when he wants something!
He's very much a lap cat and likes to climb up onto your shoulder and nuzzle your neck when picked up. He likes to play for short periods of time and is very well house-trained. He enjoys having his brush!
His favourite places to sleep at the moment are on a lap or on the sofa but on occasion he likes to find somewhere a bit more hidden away. Meet the lovely Lucky.

Lucky came into our care just before Christmas having been found with kittens. After a long journey there will be no more straying for Lucky or more kittens. She is now ready for her furrever home where she can live her best cat life.
Lucky is approx. 2 years old and have proven to be an extremely affectionate cat. We cannot say for certain if she would be able to live with small children or other pets. Lucky is ready to be visited and available for adoption from the end of February.

Milo was a much loved cat in his previous home but could not cope with three children under five years old. His owner with great sadness felt that he should have the opportunity to live his life in a better suited home. Milo is a big cat with a big appetite! He has enjoyed staying with the fosterers as it is a quiet calm house, but it is time for him to move into his furrever home.
Milo although initially shy slowly came out of his shell. He is playful and friendly. He will need access to outside and is both and indorr and outdoor cat. From his past experience we feel Milo would be suited to older children and adults. If you have space in your home and your heart for one large hungry cat Milo is the boy for you.

Meet the identical twins May (girl) Hem (boy).
These two delightful kittens approx. six months old, were found roaming around Eaton Bray common near to a dead cat that was assumed to be their mother. A kind family took them in before Christmas. They came into our care a week ago. They will be ready to be adopted the end of February, but can be visited now.
Both cats are easy to handle and love to be petted and fussed. May is the player of the two and Hem is a soppy floppy love bug with the loudest purr ever.

Sadly Roxy has had to return to our care due to her previous owners ill health. It was a very difficult decision but one we fully supported. Meet Cora & Kenny.
Cora and Kenny came into our care just before Christmas. They are almost 6 months old. These kittens come as a pair. They love to play chase around the house and hide and seek around the house. The fosterer says they are by far the most cuddliest, kindest kittens she has met.
Kenny can be timid when first meeting new people but Cora is not shy at all. Both of them have tolerated very young children and coped well with their shenanigans. The fosterer has said they have never once used their claws. Kenny loves a cuddle especially if you have minty breath. Cora loves a cuddle but not too bothered about minty breath 😆.
They love to sit on your lap, two at a time sometimes. The fosterer says they are ideal cats for a young family and will play endlessly with their wand toy. The fosterer will be sorry to see them go.

He is a lovely boy and very friendly once he gets to know you and loves being picked up for cuddles. He is a lap cat.
HUTCH
He is the more mischievous one and loves exploring. He will sit next to you whilst Starskey sits on your lap.

Hutch will sometimes grab your leg playfully but never with his claws out. It's usually when you're trying to dish his food out.

Meet Pumpkin & Squash - both 5 months old.
These two boys were found in a bucket with a dead sibling before Christmas. They have been in our care for some time now.
When found they were very poorly and the vets were not very hopeful, however, our wonderful fosterer nurtured and cared for them until they were ready for adoption which they now are.
They are 5 month old bonded brothers. They have wonderful temperaments and are gentle yet playful. They are slightly timid when meeting strangers but we are confident they will settle well once in their new furrever home. Both are comfortable with adults and children.
Pumpkin has no health issues however, Squash has chlamydia which will only affect him if he is exposed to a highly stressed environment, for example moving to his new home. This will be an ongoing condition and Cats Protection will set up an ongoing treatment plan for this condition only to be treated at our vets.
They love a game and the fosterer feels they will love discovering the outdoors. They are and always have been inseparable.

UPDATE: CHARLEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND GONE TO HIS FURREVER HOME 🏘
Due to circumstances Charley was moved from being fostered in a pen to a home so we have further information about him.
We now know he is a lap cat especially in the evenings. He loves his food and shouts loudly for it. He loves to be groomed. His new fostered has noticed he is quite sensitive to outside noises and he has been a bit nibbly when making his wants known but we feel both the sensitivity to noise and nibbling will stop when he is secure in his furrever home. However, it is worth noting that if you have children that he has been nibbly when settling in.

This is an introduction to Dianne. Dianne came into our care in late August with her six kittens. She came via the CP Community Engagement Team who had picked her up from a garden where the people were doing their best to look after her . By the time Dianne came to us her six kittens and previous diet had taken a toll on her and she ended up in cat hospital with dehydration and an infection. Sadly one of the kittens failed to thrive and died. Her remaining five kittens, who were all beautiful, have all gone to their furrever homes and now Dianne is recuperating with her fosterer.
Dianne is the most affectionate cat we have ever met. She enjoys being held like a baby, wrapping herself around your neck and nose boops you to say hello. She is also a very conversational cat.
We are pleased to say Dianne is on the mend and will be available for adoption by December. She is the perfect family cat and will share her affections with adults and children happily. Keep an eye out for further posts and pictures of her. Imagine coming in from a long hard days work and opening the door to be greeted by her. She just loves people. Whoever adopts her will be well rewarded.

Meet Miss Jumbles, the calico cat that's a jumble of colour.
Miss Jumbles came into our care at five months old and heavily pregnant. Sadly all of her kittens were born dead.
Miss Jumbles moved to be with her fosterer after her loss and made a full recovery. Miss Jumbles has gone from an outside living cat to a very happy and contented inside cat. She is living her best life with her fosterer. As you can see from the photographs Miss Jumbles likes cuddles, sitting on laps and her tree house. She loves hooman company and her fosterer has informed us she has two very distinct meows, one for dinner and one for play. She will also tap your hand gently if she wants to play more. Miss Jumbles is now over six months old and would be a happy addition to any family. She is used to being left on her own but is really happy when her hooman returns.
We hope someone out there will have a place in their heart for Miss Jumbles. Miss Jumbles is fully health checked, flead and wormed, spayed, microchipped as well as fully vaccinated and comes with four weeks free PetPlan insurance.

UPDATE: FANDI HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND GONE TO HER FURREVER HOME 🏡 Meet Fandi again. 🐈⬛ Fandi is a small black and white cat of approx. six months old. Fandi had already been fully health checked, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped so she is ready for adoption now. Fandi has changed so much since she first came into our fosterers home. When she arrived she was timid and fearful of strangers, but since spending time with our lovely fosterer Fandi has grown in confidence as has her ability to trust people. As you can see from the video Fandi has a huge capacity to play. She loves affection and tickles. She is able to socialise with strangers and we feel would enjoy younger children who would be happy to spend hours playing with her. The fosterer also feels that she's so calm now she could possibly, given the right introduction cope with other pets. This is a very different little cat than the one we first took in. Her previous owner had her since a kitten but very sadly has had to give her up for adoption as she was poorly and circumstances meant Luna could not go with her owner (please no bad comments as you don't know what those circumstances are). She is very very sadly missed by her previous owner. Luna was taught by her previous owner to sit for a treat - who says cats can't be trained eh? 🥰. Here are some words from her fosterer:- Luna is shy at first and will probably hide for a few days in her new home. Once she gets used to you she becomes very vocal and demands some attention. She likes to play with her toys and is very smart and learns quickly. She is independent but don't be surprised that after some days she jumps into bed, cuddles with you and purrs loudly. Luna would need a quiet adult home. She has been an in and out cat but mainly in. We do not think that she would be suitable for being rehomed with another cat or a dog. Also we are not sure if she has been around many children. Luna is microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, flea treated and wormed and fully health checked. UPDATE - Scamp is no longer available. Meet gorgeous Scamp. Scamp is 5 years young, very playful and loves his fusses. He would have to have a home with no other pets as he gets stressed around them. His first vaccination is tomorrow and then would need his second vaccination in three weeks time. The appointment for the second vaccination will be made by us at our vets. All we require is that the adopter takes him along for it to our vets. After Scamp has had his first vaccination he is ready to go to his new furrever home.
