Sunshine Cat Rescue have happily and successfully rehomed many many cats and kittens over the years but there are a few older cats, some with medical conditions that are harder to find a forever home. These cats become our Sponsor Cats.

Wow what a lovely surprise! One of our fabulous supporters picked up 15 stockings for us to raise funds with and when she got to the till they were only 20p each! The shelf life is for 2025 so no worries.
We will use a few in our all cat tombola and also to sell.

Well what a year it has been, so full of ups and downs and many challenges along the way! There is never a dull moment!
So much has been achieved with all things SCR some very obvious such as fundraising and homing but also a huge amount behind the scenes. We cannot thank all of our volunteers and supporters enough as without you our achievements would be a lot less.

Let’s hope we can achieve even more in 2004 and help more cats and kittens.

This spirited lady found herself living alone when her Mummy passed away, fortunately she has been well cared for though by relatives.

Yesterday she left with her new human for lots of love and TLC and no doubt some new adventures, since she loves mousing!

This morning our cat escaped out of his cat carrier outside Tremain Vets in Witney and has gone missing. He’s around 7 months old and is quite nervous and doesn’t know the area. Please help find him.

Congratulations and thanks to Kay Webb for completing her 60th Home visit yesterday.

Kay is a classic example as one of our dedicated volunteers beavering away behind the scenes, on top of family, work life and hobbies etc.

Home visiting is such an important role within SCR and we are one of the few rescues who carry these out.

It is vital for SCR to enable us to get a match right but also for those adopting (especially for the first time) as it’s an opportunity to ask questions.

They were checking me out this morning. This litter of four met me for the second time today and these two decided to just watch from their cosy cabin whilst I cleaned out below! The other two however were having lots of fun playing around me etc.
They are still under assessment.

Abandoned and relinquished cats, dogs, and horses around the country rely on the phenomenal work of volunteers and charities to give them the care and love they need while they wait for their forever homes.

At Animal Friends, we know that this year has been challenging for many of us, including these small but dedicated charities - which is why we’ll be sharing £50,000 to support struggling pet charities across the UK. But, we need your help!

By nominating a local registered pet charity close to your heart, you could help make a rescue’s Christmas a little more special.

Abandoned and relinquished cats, dogs, and horses around the country rely on the phenomenal work of volunteers and charities to give them the care and love they need while they wait for their forever homes.

We've had a lovely response to our request for drivers to help us out with running errands. Thank you. Volunteers can either use their own vehicles and claim mileage, or our van would be available for drivers who have fully comprehensive insurance.
The errand could be delivering/collecting cats from a vet appointment, or delivering food and supplies on an as required basis.
Most journeys would probably begin from Milton under Wychwood.

This gorgeous boy has been with us a while now and not without some issues.
Anyway it was worth the wait as an experienced home (of his medical issues) came along and he left yesterday with a very happy new mummy. He didn’t disappoint when she met him rolling over and purring plus plus.
