⚠️WARNING: Lots of grooming is required for this kitty, Bella!⚠️
Bella had her spay procedure recently! ✨
Once recovered, Bella received her much deserved Lick-e-lix treat which as you can see, she thoroughly enjoyed! 🥰
Bella's messy eating caused her to require a lot of grooming!😂😄
She was a pleasure to have! ❤
Puhshu visited us recently for a scale and polish. ❤🦷
During her recent health check, it was observed that her teeth had some tartar build-up. Plaque on your pet's teeth can harden and turn into tartar over time.
It's important to take care of your pet's dental hygiene.
It's recommended to brush your pet's teeth and have regular dental check-ups to help keep their teeth healthy.
Our clinic offers free dental health checks if you are uncertain about your pet's teeth.
Take a look at how Puhshu is thoroughly enjoying the lick-e-lix that our SVN Ginny gave her after her procedure.🥰🐾
Have you ever wondered what ear mites look like?! 🫣😨
Ear mites are a common infestation in both dogs and cats, causing itching and excessive wax production (often a dark dry material) in the ears!!
This can result in an inflamed ear canal. Often pets will scratch at their ears and shake their heads in an attempt to stop the itch! 😢
Ears mites are too small to be seen by the naked eye, so the ear needs to be looked at with an otoscope and a swab will often be taken to confirm infestation!
Here is a video of a few ear mites we found recently down the microscope! 🔬🦠
Makes you want to itch doesn’t it… 😉😨
Do you remember Luna the French Bulldog?
Here she is having a good old snooze and snore, whilst we give her oxygen supplementation before her spay procedure! 😂😍
We always give brachycephalic patients 5 minutes of oxygen before their procedure goes ahead. This is because brachycephalic breeds pose a higher risk of anaesthetic, due to their airways being compromised. They are prone to breathing difficulties when induced, so having enough oxygen on board is super crucial ‼️⚠️
We all had a giggle 🤣🥰❤️
Tia had the most waggiest tail when she woke up from her anaesthetic! 🥺❤️
We thought this was just adorable! 😂
Stevie came in recently to have a dental procedure with us! 🌟
He was super chilled out, he just couldn’t get enough fuss! 😻
Here he is just before his anaesthetic! 😸
Does anyone else’s dog get excited over the word 'walk' or 'walkies'? 🤪
This is little Louie who obviously loves the word!
Look at his ears perk up! We thought this was so cute and funny 😂🐶
Did you know that our Registered Veterinary Nurses can perform dental scale and polishes? 🦷✨
Here’s our Registered Veterinary Nurse Dave, performing a scale and polish recently! 🙌🏼🤩

Handsome boy Chester came in for an appointment with one of our vets! ⭐️
Whilst he was here, he couldn’t help showing off his amazing tricks!!!! 😍
Look how talented he is - what a good boy!!🤩
Let’s all give him a round of applause!👏🏼😁❤️
Here is vet nurse Lauren’s dog, Luna enjoying an ice cube in this lovely weather! ☀️💦
… Well, trying to play with it anyway!! 😂
Did you know ice cubes are a great way for your pet to cool down? ❄️
Don’t forget, the ice cubes need to be an appropriate size for your dog - for example a small dog can’t be given a large ice cube as they can pose a choking risk! ⚠️
If you’d rather not give your dog ice cubes or they’re not so keen on them, then here are some other tricks for cooling them down in the sun:
❄️Frozen carrots or apple slices are also a tasty, but healthy snack to refresh your pet
❄️Try some frozen kong toy recipes! Such as frozen peanut butter or yogurt!
Have you ever given your pet an ice cube? ❄️☀️
You may remember Arlo from his castrate procedure a couple of weeks ago 😸
Below is a short video we took just before he had his pre medication and IV catheter placed. Arlo was a little nervous so we wiped him down with one of our Pet Remedy wipes for a few minutes before continuing.
These non medicated wipes contain essential oils and valerian which can help to calm the nerves of anxious or stressed pets by sending calming signals to their brain.
As you can see, they had a very positive effect on Arlo and he thoroughly enjoyed his day with us! 😸
These also come in plug in adapters and sprays but responses can vary with each animal, dependant on the stress situation.
Following on from the previous post about Ben, here he is just an hour after his dental procedure demolishing his lunch - even after having some teeth extracting! 🤩🙌🏼
We always love to get our patients eating again after their procedures and it’s always great to see they are still comfortable and happy doing so! 🥰
This lovely old lady is Tiggy 😻
She came in to visit the vet for a routine blood test! 💉🩸
Tiggy did not object to this, thanks to the distraction power of lick-e-lix! 😹
What a sweetie! ❤️
🐈 Have you noticed your cat isn’t as mobile as it once was?
🐈⬛ Does he/she struggle to groom themselves more so towards their backend?
🐈 Are they more reluctant to go up and down stairs or jump on surfaces?
🐈⬛ If you have noticed any of these signs, it may be that they have early arthritis.
Give us a call to book an appointment with one of our vets for assessment 😸
The very talented Maizey popped in a few days ago to for a weight check, to collect her next dose of flea and worming treatment! ❤️
