Unfortunately I have taken the decision to shut down CK9 School until further notice.
We had reopened our kennels as a trial run in order to see if we could manage the workload with our baby.
We've held three 3 week boarding school courses since October and had hoped we could continue through to January, February and possibly March before the bouncy castle/hot tub season began. However, the fulltime commitment to customers dogs in my care has proven too much with a 15 month old baby.
Due to unforseen circumstances this commitment is now unfortunately preventing me from spending time with my son and I feel like I'm missing an awful lot whilst providing this service. Not to mention the extra struggle of not having me readily available to help with our child wherever necessary.
I followed through with November and December's courses in order to honour the bookings which were already in place, but now it's time for me to once again focus on Dexter.
Apologies to anyone who was hoping to book in with us after Christmas, especially if it was part of an Xmas gift.
This is also the reason we were turning down rescue cases this year. There are so many different factors which come into play when rehoming dogs. None of which we could guarantee at this time.

The first 3 days are mainly just settling in so you have time to get your affairs in order and I can catch your dog up with the others fairly quickly.

We are 3 days in and I've now gained the trust of all the dogs and training is off to a great start.
Rocko who has a new 3 month old baby sister at home is specifically learning to loose lead walk by the side of the pram. Luckily we have our very own baby Dexter to help me accomplish that over the duration of this 3 week course.

Bouncy castle season is over as we go into indoor hall hires only. I'm now testing the waters to see if we can work dogs with baby Dexter at home.

Unfortunately we are still not doing rescues due to the unknown timescale of finding their forever home and all of the work that goes on behind the scenes in order to find that perfect owner.
I'll keep you all updated with how this ties in with the baby. Fingers crossed we can progress from here and make it work because we do miss being there to save them and be their very last chance of an existence.

Caesar has been with us for over 200 DAYS, he’s had no visitors and has now become one of our longer term dogs 😥
Caesar is the most handsome 7yr American Bulldog boy, he is loving, affectionate and very loyal! He’s a good boy, he enjoys attention but loves to take him self off and keep himself entertained playing with all of his toys!
Caesar is house trained, a good boy in the home, he’s not fussy with food and loves his treats 🤍
We feel people are overlooking Caesar as he is subjected to a court order due an incident that happened in his home a while ago.
The courts and independent behaviouralists have seemed Caesar a safe dog to be rehomed into a responsible and adult only home (18yrs +).
He will need a capable and competent owner that will abide by all the rules and regulations stated on his court order.
Caesar is a big boy, he enjoys his walks but will need a capable owner, because of his court order it does state he needs to be walked on a muzzle.
Please please, do not let you put this off our amazing boy. We are always at hand for support, and would love nothing more than for him to find a new, loving forever home 🏡
Caesar needs a pet free home without children or visiting children. He enjoys a quiet life and would be suited to a quiet home!

Bulldog cross, Squishy, is a five-month-old bundle of joy with lots of energy and a big heart looking for her forever home. She loves nothing more than zooming around and playing with any toy she can find.
She adores people and can live in a house with children aged 12+ but she would like to be the only pet in the house as she wants all the attention her prey drive means she would chase small animals.
While Squishy can't live with dogs she would love to have a group of doggy friends to go on regular walks with and she would like a home with plenty of space for her to run around and burn off all her excess energy.
Squishy is very food motivated and would really benefit from regular training as she is very clever and can pick up new commands and tricks easily.

💕 SPECIAL APPEAL 💕
Yesterday one of our dogs rehomed a year ago was picked up a a stray by a kind rescue in Bolton. When we arrived to collect him, we got talking to staff and volunteers who explained they had an older staffie girl, called Sky, who wasn’t coping well in their kennels and in the environment. They had paid to have a huge ulcerated lump removed from her leg, she had started to eat it it was so uncomfortable for her. Since the operation Sky was extremely stressed, she would cry, howl and in turn stress out the other dogs in a small kennel block. She was very upset and the staff were at a loss on what to do and how to help her, they had appealed for foster homes with no success.
So, we believe everything happens for a reason 💕 and fate has its way… we couldn’t leave Sky, I mean who could say no to this face 🥺
Sky is much happier and content already, she is cosy and warm and even loves her cuddly bunny. She is an older girl and does seem to have some dementia and confusion, with this seems to come some separation anxiety. She loves to cuddle and would make a perfect companion.
Sky will be seeing our vet over the next couple of days, she has sore ears and has the odd lump and bump which we would like to get checked. She has also been used for breeding.
We are searching for a staffie experienced long term foster home for this beautiful girl to live out her days. She has been reactive to dogs in the previous kennels, which we suspect my have been environmental, however she does need a capable handler with NO PETS OR CHILDREN as a precaution. She enjoys short walks or would even be happy with a large garden.
She does get disorientated from time to time and fall, but she is recovers quickly and is happy to run and play.

SETH is showing a few aggressive traits but nothing that can't be solved quickly.
We are just testing the waters to see if any of our follower's would be interested in offering him a forever home.
This would need to be a quick turn around due to like being 8.5 months pregnant. We shouldn't really take him on but look at him. HE'S SO CUTE
But also, they grow to be MASSIVE. Experienced people with a big garden and an active lifestyle.
