Important update.
Services, classes and bookings will be running as normal I have decided not to alter those already booked in as it helps me to keep busy.
Seeing dogs helps everything.
However I did unfortunately loose my 14yr old labrador Drake this weekend as you will see below. I am sure those who knew him will also be heartbroken. If you know me you know.my dogs are a huge part of my training life and if you work with me you will know all their stories and even if you haven't met him you will know him from all my training videos that provides your homework. A special boy he was.
However if I am not quite my energetic self or there is a long delay in my reply to enquiries or correspondence. I Just want to let you know below what has happened. So please bare with me. I have decided to keep services that are booked and classes running as normal as it does help me alot seeing all your dogs. It just may take me longer to answer enquiries or reply to people at the moment.
Thank you for understanding 💖🙏
💔💔💔 Drake Jan 2010- Jan 2024.
I feel sick to my stomach to write this, my heart has shattered in ways I never knew possible.
We are beyond heartbroken to say after a sudden unforseen series of events over the past 48hrs..... our beloved old chestnut Drake has grown his real angel wings and crossed the rainbow bridge.
We are devastated and heartbroken.
14 precious years of memories 14 amazing years of loving you. I will forever treasure them alongside those of Poppy. I hope Poppy came for you as we both held you in our arms and I whispered to you telling you "it's ok baby, its all going to get better now, its ok, you can sleep now, we love you so much.... what a good boy you are", as you peacefully slipped into your final sleep.
We love you so much, i love you so much. What a perfect boy you was and for us.
You was our beginning 💛
You were the first baby we ever brought home to our family. The best big brother to your human brothers.

Just a notice to say I am a little behind on admin and enquiries this week as been very busy since returning from edinburgh. There is a delay but I will reply to everyone by end of next week!
Please bare with me 🙏😊
How my dogs get to know a new place.... just settle and watch and take it all in to learn and process or if your drake have a little grandad nap. Just one cheeky look at our first day on holidays to also show I practice what I preach the amount of people that come to my classes and 121s that I get to do their settle and chill training on a bench in public....well this should reassure you to see I do exactly the same...however drakes almost 13yrs now and abit too experianced at it 🤣🤣🤣💜🙏 the power of teaching your dog to cope doing nothing, settle around distractions where ever you go (we had never been here before was our first day) and the art of teaching your dog to JUST watch, process, sniff, learn and digest!
Watch that nose taking it all in...who needs eyes 👀 😴 🤣🤣 keep watching for more of our holiday adventures we had.
🐶Pixie🐶
Pixie is currently attending my puppy behaviour skills classes. Here she is being taught loose lead by esmae on a walk!
I think it is fair to say everyone is really working hard to train pixie to the best she can be!
I am so proud of them all!
I think we can all agree both pixie and esmae are simply smashing it!!
Love the use of the pushchair to store those rewards and check esmae out using her marker words to.
Perfect 😘👌I love this video so much.
What are your plans with your dog this year or month?
Comment in the comments section I would love to know!

PUPDATE: Super Proud Otto GSD post 🙏🌟🤩 keep watching to the end of the video🥰
Heres Ottos story:
Otto is a young adolescent male who lost all of his confidence and trust with other dogs after being attacked by another dog and being overwhelmed in groups of dogs that just constantly played. After his attack, over time Otto started to seperate himself from the regular group of dogs playing, not wanting to engage anymore and showed a lot of avoidence . As we know GSDs like their boundaries to keep them safe so when they feel thiers are becoming broken they can very quickly escalate into ensuring they aren't broken again in the future. So after this attack because of what Otto was used to with the constant play from dogs, he expected dogs coming up to him would all want to engage with him and not give him personal space that he preferred & wanted since his attack, so he began to try and enforce his personal space back himself but emotionally out of anxiety. To Otto dogs getting close now could result in a negative outcome for him in his mind from his attack and so he presented this by excessive barking, intense lunging and air snapping at dogs to try get them to listen to him and back off. Ottos caregivers could not get him near another dog again from this point.
Otto is a prime example of how over exposure in socialisation can in some sensitive dogs or dogs who have had a negative encounter can actually create more negativity for them and make them feel so overwhelmed by their personal space being repeatedly invaded and them not having control over it that it creates reactivity to make other dogs back off.
When Otto came to me we started slow in quiet low dog traffic environments with the odd dog walking in the background and worked on some critical foundation exercises to start teaching him how to manage his emotions better and connect to his handlers better to start rebuilding his confidence on his walks. The good thing here was Otto was very social
🌟Penny pupdate 2🌟
Yes penny is getting 2 pupdates today. As we have been working helping Penny learning self control when seeingndistractions we have also been working on how to navigate around distractions to help regain focus off a distraction on to her caregivers again.
I had to post this showing the hard work that was put in, to get Penny to learn efficient ways to move with her humans around distractions.
Manoeuvres can be a bit like patting your head and rubbing your tummy to get the mechanics right at times and require rehearsal, so check this out this is not just one manoeuvre this is a triple/quadruple combo manoeuvre all put together!
With me, touch, a switch and a heel to finish(which happens after the camera ends) 🥰🐾🙏🌟 they may look easy to do but it's a lot harder when you have the lead and a live excited pooch on the end. So well done super rehearsals and super practice which enabled this to look so great! Well done again!
The hard work is paying off and getting there.
🌟Pupdate🌟
7month old Penny. Hungarian Vizla.
Look at that smiling lead! Penny's caregivers were finding it tough to get Penny to focus on them in real world and needed ways to harness her bouncy energy around distractions!
They have been working so hard at building a good reinforcement history with Penny, focusing on what behaviours they like from Penny and what they want to achieve. They have kept to realistic goals and made steady achievements and it's all starting to come together! It looks amazing!
When we started Penny was so overwhelmed by her environment she couldnt even look at here caregivers. This is fantastic progress in just a few sessions! 🌟🥰🐾🙏
Classes are back and in full swing again. We are having lots of fun 🙂🐾
Follow up video clip of Charlotte and Tiggers lead walking skills developing in the distracting street environment that Tigger found very difficult to focus in prior to working on this. Shes doing great in such a short time!
